Local Structure–Luminescence Correlation in Eu3+‐Doped Phosphors: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This review discusses the correlation between local structure and the luminescent properties of Eu3+ ions, and also summarizes analytical methods for determining Eu3+ site occupancy. The luminescence properties of the phosphors are determined by the electronic configuration of the activator ions and are also affected by the coordinated environment of ...

Tumbling Magnetic Microrobots for Targeted In Vivo Drug Delivery in the GI Tract

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We introduce a microrobot design and integrated system for on‐demand targeted drug release in the gastrointestinal tract. The microrobot has an embedded magnet for actuation with external magnetic fields and is visualized in real time using ultrasound. It has two drug release ports sealed with a thermally sensitive wax. Local heating of the wax using a

High Performance Nonaqueous Ca‐Ion Cathodes Based on NASICON‐NaV2(PO4)3 and the Way to Activate Their Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
This study highlights the activation mechanism for calcium storage in NASICON‐NaV2(PO4)3, showcasing it as an effective cathode for calcium‐ion batteries at room temperature. It delivers a discharge capacity of 106.9 mAh g−1 (82% improvement) at ≈3.5 V (vs Ca/Ca2+), with good cyclability, offering insights for developing high‐performance cathodes for ...

Design of CsSnBr3/Ga2O3 Hybrid Photodetectors for High UV Selectivity and Bifacial Usage

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
A numerical study investigates a lead‐free CsSnBr3/Ga2O3 p–n heterojunction photodetector, analyzing its electrical and optoelectronic performance. High illumination‐to‐dark current ratios and rectification are achieved. The device operates in self‐powered, bifacial, solar‐blind, and UV–Vis modes with strong responsivity and detectivity.
