Network Coding Enabling Resilient 5G Networks [PDF]
45th European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC 2019), 2019 A resilient 5G Network solution adopting Network Coding in the optical transport with minimum buffering requirements is proposed. Network level modelling results demonstrate a 33% reduction in the overall optical network capacity required and 50% reduction of edge node buffer size.
