Cytidine methylation in buds released from dormancy with 6-benzylaminopurine
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1970Abstract This paper shows that the methylation of macromolecules of tobacco buds occurs during the early phases of bud release from dormancy by the exogenous application of 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP). We also show by co-chromatography with authentic 5-methylcytidine that one of the methylated nucleosides recovered from macromolecules of stimulated ...

Resonant electron capture by kinetin and 6-benzylaminopurine molecules
Chemical Physics Letters, 2020Abstract Electron-induced reactions with adenine-type cytokinin molecules, i.e., kinetin and 6-benzylaminopurine, which differ in lateral substituents, were studied. The main fragmentation channels of the molecular negative ions formed by electron capture in the energy range 0–12 eV were revealed.

Potentiometric and Voltammetric Study of 6‐Benzylaminopurine and Its Derivatives
Electroanalysis, 2012AbstractThe protonation‐deprotonation equilibrium of 6‐benzylaminopurine (6‐BAP) and its derivatives was studied by potentiometry and voltammetry. The effect of Cl‐ or OCH3‐group in position 2′, 3′ and 4′ of the benzene ring of 6‐BAP on both pKa values was investigated.

Antimicrobial activity and thermostability of silver 6-benzylaminopurine montmorillonite
Applied Clay Science, 2009Novel antimicrobial materials were constructed by the intercalation of organometallic cations into montmorillonite. The silver chelate complex of 6-benzylaminopurine was intercalated into montmorillonite by a cation exchange reaction in aqueous medium.

Effects of NPK and 6-Benzylaminopurine on Growth and Flowering of two Orchid Genera
THE JOURNAL OF PLANT SCIENCE RESEARCH, 2014The rising demand for herbal medicine and environmental degradation necessitates the development of more productive management practices for many valuable orchid species. The nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (NPK) fertilisation and 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) application has been advised as a practice to address these trends.

Chemical proteomic analysis of 6-benzylaminopurine molecular partners in wheat grains
Plant Cell Reports, 2017An affinity-based chemical proteomic technique enabled direct identification of BAP-interacting proteins in wheat, including the well-known cytokinin-binder, cytokinin-binding protein 1. In this work, we show the development of a chemical proteomic technique for the identification of proteins binding to natural aromatic cytokinins (CKs).

Stimulation and inhibition of plant virus replication in vivo by 6-benzylaminopurine
Virology, 1975Abstract The concentration of tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) in tobacco leaves, as assayed in a local-lesion test on Pinto bean leaves, was enhanced by treatment with 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) 5–120 min after inoculation. The degree of enhancement depended on the time lag between inoculation and start of BA treatment. Maximum enhancement was achieved when

The effect of 6-benzylaminopurine on protein metabolism in senescing corn leaves
Phytochemistry, 1970Abstract The incorporation of 14 C-leucine into senescing disks from corn leaves was measured in the presence and absence of 6-benzylaminopurine (benzyladenine). Differences in the amount of incorporation were detected as early as 90 min after start of the hormone treatment.
