Pancake Lenses through Curved Lamination for Compact Virtual Reality
Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.This article presents an ultrathin VR optical system based on a 1.35 in. microdisplay, leveraging curved lamination technology. Compared to mainstream solutions, the proposed design demonstrates superior compactness (volume compression by 12%) and enhanced optical performance.

Plasmonic Hot‐Carrier Redox Enables Proton‐Coupled Electron Transfer at C─H Bonds
Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.Plasmonic hot carriers provide unprecedented control over coupled electron–proton transfer, enabling visible‐light activation of strong C─H bonds. Using an energy‐filter electrode, we reveal a stepwise electron‐then‐proton pathway and directly tune the underlying driving forces.

Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.A 3D holotomography system coupled with a deep learning model distinguishes how cells die—apoptosis, necroptosis or necrosis—without any fluorescent labels. Training on refractive index maps of HeLa cells yields 97% accuracy and flags necroptosis hours before chemical dyes.

Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.New push–pull para‐azaquinodimethane derivatives were synthetized through a sustainable protocol. Transient absorption results showed ultrafast intermolecular singlet fission (SF) in film and demonstrated for AsOMe higher triplet energy than for literature SF materials, with intriguing perspectives for photovoltaics toward silicon matched SF.
