Sound Velocity Estimation and Beamform Correction by Simultaneous Multimodality Imaging with Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Since the sound velocity for medical ultrasound imaging is usually set at 1540 m/s, the ultrasound imaging of a patient with a thick layer of subcutaneous fat is degraded due to variations in the sound velocity.

Distribution of magnetic field strength inside exciting coil of single sheet tester

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
The double H-coil method was proposed to detect magnetic field strength on the surface of a specimen more accurately than the single H-coil method. In this paper, the distribution of magnetic field strength inside exciting coil of a single sheet tester ...

Energy Management of Low-Pressure Systems Utilizing Pump-Unloading Valve and Accumulator

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
In the context of improving energy efficiency and fuel consumption of mobile hydraulic equipment, it is important to analyze all the sources of power loss occurring within the hydraulic systems. While plenty of analyses have been performed on the working

Thresholding Approach for Low-Rank Correlation Matrix Based on MM Algorithm

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
Background: Low-rank approximation is used to interpret the features of a correlation matrix using visualization tools; however, a low-rank approximation may result in an estimation that is far from zero, even if the corresponding original value is zero.

Results from multi-frequency observations of PSR B0826-34 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We report new results obtained from multi-frequency observations of PSR B0826-34 with the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). (1) We find no evidence of weak emission during the typical long null state of this pulsar, simultaneously at 303 and 610 MHz, as well as individually at 157, 325, 610 and 1060 MHz at separate epochs.

LINC00511 promotes melanoma progression by targeting miR-610/NUCB2

open access: yesOpen Medicine, 2023
Long intergenic noncoding RNA 00511 (LINC00511) predicts poor prognosis in various malignancies and functions as an oncogene in distinct malignant tumors. The role of LINC00511 in melanoma progression was assessed.
