Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

The agent routering process of a dynamic distributed decision support system

open access: yesJournal of Computer Science and Technology, 2001
When certain enterprise domain needs to make an unusual decision, it will probably require new kind of information. If the interaction model among domains cannot be defined because the decision scenarios are unpredictable, the system itself must search ...

Challenges and Strategies for Developing Recombinant Vaccines against Leptospirosis: Role of Expression Platforms and Adjuvants in Achieving Protective Efficacy

open access: yesPathogens, 2023
The first leptospiral recombinant vaccine was developed in the late 1990s. Since then, progress in the fields of reverse vaccinology (RV) and structural vaccinology (SV) has significantly improved the identification of novel surface-exposed and conserved

Lysosome‐Acidifying Nanoparticles Rescue A30P α‐Synuclein Induced Neuronal Death in Cellular and Drosophila Models of Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Lysosome‐targeted acidic nanoparticles based on a biodegradable poly(ethylene tetrafluorosuccinate‐co‐succinate) copolymer are engineered to restore impaired lysosomal acidification through pH‐responsive intracellular degradation. Localized acid release enhances autophagic proteolysis, reduces α‐synuclein accumulation, and preserves dopaminergic neuron

The Effects of Speed on the Running Performance of a Small Two-Wheeled Lunar Rover

open access: yesAerospace
Small wheeled lunar rovers tend to dig into surfaces via wheel rotation, causing them to slip and get stuck on regolith. Additionally, reducing power consumption remains a longstanding challenge. This study created a small two-wheeled rover and conducted

Development of PF-06671008, a Highly Potent Anti-P-cadherin/Anti-CD3 Bispecific DART Molecule with Extended Half-Life for the Treatment of Cancer

open access: yesAntibodies, 2016
Bispecific antibodies offer a promising approach for the treatment of cancer but can be challenging to engineer and manufacture. Here we report the development of PF-06671008, an extended-half-life dual-affinity re-targeting (DART®) bispecific molecule ...

A PC parallel port button box provides millisecond response time accuracy under Linux [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
For psychologists, it is sometimes necessary to measure people's reaction times to the nearest millisecond. This article describes how to use the PC parallel port to receive signals from a button box to achieve millisecond response time accuracy.

Copper–Collagen Interactions Regulate the Mechanical and Invasive Properties of Tumor Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic copper is investigated as a modulator of tumor spheroid growth and invasiveness in a 3D microfluidic glioblastoma model. Copper exposure alters metabolic activity, cytoskeletal organization, protrusion dynamics, and EMT‐related phenotypes in a dose‐ and timing‐dependent manner, revealing how copper bioavailability shapes tumor aggressiveness ...

Effect of Soil Type on Running Performance of Small Lunar Rover

open access: yesAerospace
It is very easy for a small lunar rover to slip on the regolith of the lunar surface and become stuck. Previous studies have quantitatively evaluated the effects of wheel geometry, such as elliptical or eccentric wheels, on the performance of a rover ...
