Unipolar Barrier Photodetectors Based on Van Der Waals Heterostructure with Ultra-High Light On/Off Ratio and Fast Speed. [PDF]
A unipolar barrier photodetector uncooled long‐wave infrared nBn photodetector is demonstrated. The exciting experimental results include a record high light on/off ratio of ≈1010 and competitive fast speed with τr = 699 ns and τd = 452 ns are demonstrated with a 637 nm laser.

Experimental Observation of a Calcium Silicon Double Carbonate
High‐pressure and ‐temperature reactions between Ca5(Si2O7)(CO3)2 tilleyite and CO2 carbon dioxide yield the first experimental evidence of the double carbonate Ca2Si(CO3)4 and a new Ca2(C4O10) phase containing tetrahedral [CO4] units. These findings reveal unexpected carbonate chemistry and highlight pathways for carbon incorporation under mantle ...

Cefuroxime axetil dosing regimens and probability of target attainment in adults and children
Aims Cefuroxime axetil exists in several dosage forms for oral administration, and is indicated for treatment of respiratory, genitourinary, skin and soft tissue infections. Evolving patterns of bacterial susceptibility, expressed as increasing minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs), warrant monitoring of antibiotic efficacy.

Recycling waste via insect agriculture: Frass impacts on soil and plant health
Abstract Frass—the main by‐product of insect rearing for animal feed—is emerging as a promising soil amendment and plant growth promoter. However, basic agronomic information is lacking and prevents frass’ widespread use as a biofertilizer. This study assessed impacts of black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens L.

Heart Talk: Emotional Inner Speech Increases Heart Rate
ABSTRACT In two preregistered experiments (exp.1: n = 44; exp.2: n = 46), we investigated whether emotional inner speech influences heart rate. Participants were asked to engage in sessions of either: self‐encouraging positive inner speech, self‐degrading negative inner speech, or inner counting while their heart rate was monitored.

Abstract INTRODUCTION Early life bilateral salpingo‐oophorectomy (BSO) leads to immediate estradiol loss and increased risk of late‐life Alzheimer's disease (AD). We investigated risk and resilience (RandR) on the average of 5 years post BSO and their possible impact on subjective cognitive decline (SCD), and brain structure. METHODS A cohort in Canada
