This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

While dual‐electrode‐free Zn‐MnO2 batteries offer high voltage, intrinsic safety and simple manufacturing, their efficiency and stability are limited by incompatible Zn and MnO2 redox chemistries. This work introduces a dissimilar electrolyte architecture to decouple Zn and MnO2 reactions, endowing a dual‐electrode‐free and lean‐electrolyte Zn‐MnO2 ...

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Hadron Production in Neutrino-Nucleon Interactions at High Energies [PDF]
The multi-particle production at high energy neutrino- nucleon collisions are investigated through the analysis of the data of the experiment CERN-WA-025 at neutrino energy less than 260GeV and the experiments FNAL-616 and FNAL-701 at energy range 120 ...

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by

The effect of cooking on carapace length of Southern rock lobster, Jasus edwardsii (Hutton), 1875 (Decapoda, Palinuridae) [PDF]
In several Australian states, the claimed potential for shrinkage of rock lobsters during cooking is a problem for enforcement of rock lobster fisheries regulations based on a minimum legal size. In Tasmania, uncertainty about the potential for shrinkage
