In Materia Shaping of Randomness with a Standard Complementary Metal‐Oxide‐Semiconductor Transistor for Task‐Adaptive Entropy Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study establishes a materials‐driven framework for entropy generation within standard CMOS technology. By electrically rebalancing gate‐oxide traps and Si‐channel defects in foundry‐fabricated FDSOI transistors, the work realizes in‐materia control of temporal correlation – achieving task adaptive entropy optimization for reinforcement learning ...

Facet‐Engineered S‐Scheme Heterostructure With Enhanced Active Sites for Efficient Photocatalytic Degradation of Organic Contaminants

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The facet‐engineered ZnO/Zn3In2S6 heterostructure, dominated by {001} plane coupling, exposes abundant unsaturated Zn sites with elongated Zn─O bonds, directing photoexcited charge carriers along an S‐scheme pathway and suppressing recombination. Enhanced interfacial Zn adsorption toward bisphenol A and methylene blue further synergistically promotes ...

Multimodal design and the neomillenial learner [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Two courses delivered in 2004 by the Faculty of Business at USQ were part of an initial trial into a new CD based hybrid model of delivery. This represented a change in the way USQ had previously supplied course materials and so it was necessary to ...

Secondary metabolite profiling using HR-LCMS, antioxidant and anticancer activity of Bacillus cereus PSMS6 methanolic extract: In silico and in vitro study

open access: yesBiotechnology Reports
Novel anticancer drugs of natural origin have increased tremendously due to the resistance of multiple chemotherapeutic drugs in breast cancer therapy and their high toxicity with undesirable side effects.

Semi-Hausdorff Fuzzy Filters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2007
The notion of fuzzy filters was studied by Vicente and Aranguren (1988), Lowen (1979), and Ramakrishnan and Nayagam (2002). The notion of fuzzily compactness was introduced and studied by Ramakrishnan and Nayagam (2002).

Micro and Nanostructural Diversity of Lizard Osteoderm Capping Tissue in Relation to Mechanical Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that lizard osteoderm capping tissue is a hyper‐mineralized hydroxyapatite layer consistently covering the superficial osteoderm surface in those species studied here, yet it varies greatly in morphology, nanostructure, and mechanical performance across species.

Self‐Powered Permeable Electronic Dressing for Exudate Management, Electrostimulation and Drug Delivery in Chronic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a self‐powered permeable electronic dressing (SPED) that synergistically integrates exudate management, electrical stimulation, and on‐demand drug delivery. The dressing effectively absorbs exudate while demonstrating potent antibacterial activity and accelerated tissue regeneration in diabetic mouse models, thereby promoting ...

The association between stratospheric weak polar vortex events and cold air outbreaks

open access: yes, 2009
Previous studies have identified an association between near-surface temperature anomalies in the Northern Hemisphere and weak stratospheric polar westerlies.
