A Test for Discriminating Between Members of the Odd Weibull-G Family of Distributions. [PDF]
The Odd Weibull‐G (OWG) family of distributions has been discussed earlier in the literature. This family of distributions provides a “better fit” in certain practical situations. In a similar fashion, the OWG family of distributions is defined in this article.

We give a stochastic order for Varma residual entropy and study several properties of it, like closure, reversed closure and preservation of this order in some stochastic models.

On a general class of gamma based copulas
A large family of copulas with gamma components is examined, and interesting submodels are defined and analyzed. Parameter estimation is demonstrated for some of these submodels. A brief discussion of higher-dimensional versions is included.

New asymmetric perturbations of FGM bivariate copulas and concordance preserving problems
New copulas, based on perturbation theory, are introduced to clarify a symmetrization procedure for asymmetric copulas. We give also some properties of the symmetrized copula mainly conservation of concordance.

A new extension of the exponentiated generalized-G family of distributions
This study develops a novel lifespan known as the Type Two Half Logistic Topp-Leone exponentiated generalized-G distributions. The motivation behind generating the new probability distributions lies in the pursuit of overcoming limitations of other ...

In this article, we propose a Gompertz-two-parameter-Lindley distribution by mixing the frailty parameter of the Gompertz distribution with a two-parameter Lindley distribution. The structural properties of the model, such as shape properties, cumulative

Dependence uncertainty bounds for the energy score and the multivariate Gini mean difference
The energy distance and energy scores became important tools in multivariate statistics and multivariate probabilistic forecasting in recent years. They are both based on the expected distance of two independent samples. In this paper we study dependence

The Alpha Power Transformed Logistic Distribution: Properties, application and VaR Estimation
In this paper, a new three-parameter distribution, which is a member of the Alpha Power Transformed Family of distributions, is introduced. The new distribution is a generalization of the logistic model called the alpha power transformed logistic (APTL ...

A strong deviation theorem and its application to herding effect
Wang and Yang (2011) studied the strong deviation theorems of the n-th order identical distribution (for short i.d.) random sequences. In the present paper we arrive at the strong deviation theorems for the moving averages of the third order non ...
