A generalized Gompertz promotion time cure model and its fitness to cancer data [PDF]
The cure models based on standard distributions like exponential, Weibull, lognormal, Gompertz, gamma, are often used to analyze survival data from cancer clinical trials with long-term survivors.

Epidemiological modeling of COVID-19 data with Advanced statistical inference based on Type-II progressive censoring [PDF]
This research proposes the Kavya-Manoharan Unit Exponentiated Half Logistic (KM-UEHL) distribution as a novel tool for epidemiological modeling of COVID-19 data.

A new extension of the two-parameter bathtub hazard shaped distribution
The need of new life time distributions that can be used to fit real data sets is crucial in lifetime data analysis. This article uses the two parameter bathtub (TPBT) and the generalized exponential (GE) distributions to propose a new family of lifetime

As a motivating problem, we aim to study some special aspects of the marginal distributions of the order statistics for exchangeable and (more generally) for minimally stable non-negative random variables T1, ..., Tr. In any case, we assume that T1, ...,

On moment inequalities and stochastic ordering for weighted reliability measures
We obtain stochastic inequalities, error bounds, and classification probability for a general class of distributions. We introduce the notion of variability ordering via the probability functional and comparisons made for the weighted and the original distributions. We present moment inequalities, comparisons, and applications.

A new simulation estimator of system reliability
A basic identity is proven and applied to obtain new simulation estimators concerning (a) system reliability, (b) a multi‐valued system. We show that the variance of this new estimator is often of the order α2 when the usual raw estimator has variance of the order α and α is small.

Some classes of statistical distributions. Properties and Applications
We propose a new method of constructing statistical models which can be interpreted as the lifetime distributions of series-parallel/parallel- series systems used in characterizing coherent systems. An open problem regarding coherent systems is comparing

The study is about a novel Arcsin-function based generator of new families of distributions. We chose the inverse Weibull distribution as the reference distribution to see if the generator could be employed.
