An investigation of mortality with IBM 650

Scandinavian Actuarial Journal, 1961
Abstract During the period 1953/2-1956 an investigation of the mortality of standard risks for the years 1948/2-1952 was made in Finland. This investigation resulted in a renewal. of the bases of calculation in 1957 for all Finnish life companies. With certain aggravations these bases were applied also to substandard risks, but there was not a sound ...

STRUCTURES OF CHLOROBIUM CHLOROPHYLLS (650)

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1965
The structures of six Chlorobium chlorophylls (650) have been determined. The pheophorbides are derivatives of 2-desvinyl-2-α-hydroxyethyl pyropheophorbide a. Variation of the substituents at C4 (isobutyl, n-propyl, or ethyl) and C5 (ethyl or methyl) accounts for the six different compounds.

Phase Relations in the Fe–ni–s System from 875 To 650 °c

, 2016
High-form pentlandite of composition Fe 4.93 Ni 4.06 S 8.01 first crystallizes by peritectic reaction between liquid and monosulfide solid-solution at 870 ± 3 °C (865 ± 3 °C for high-form pentlandite with Fe=Ni in at.%) in the Fe–Ni–S system; it forms a ...

A 650 GHz helical BWO

2008 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference, 2008
The operational frequency of helical vacuum electron devices has always been limited by the ability of conventional technology to fabricate very small helices, and by the difficulty of passing a meaningful current through the center of such a small structure.

Oxysulfide Sm2Ti2S2O5 as a Stable Photocatalyst for Water Oxidation and Reduction under Visible Light Irradiation (λ ≤ 650 nm)

, 2002
A Ti-based oxysulfide, Sm2Ti2S2O5, was studied as a visible light-driven photocatalyst. Under visible light (440 nm ≤ λ ≤ 650 nm) irradiation, Sm2Ti2S2O5 with a band gap of ∼2 eV evolved H2 or O2 from aqueous solutions containing a sacrificial electron ...
