Development and nationwide implementation of a postdischarge responsive parenting intervention program for very preterm born children: The TOP program

open access: yesInfant Mental Health Journal: Infancy and Early Childhood, Volume 42, Issue 3, Page 423-437, May/June 2021., 2021
ABSTRACT A previous randomized controlled trial has suggested the effectiveness of a Dutch postdischarge responsive parenting program for very preterm (VPT) infants, indicating that nationwide implementation was justified. This paper describes the development and nationwide implementation of the intervention, known as the TOP program, which consisted ...

Comparative Study on Numerical Methods for Singularly Perturbed Advanced‐Delay Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
In this paper, we consider a class of singularly perturbed advanced‐delay differential equations of convection‐diffusion type. We use finite and hybrid difference schemes to solve the problem on piecewise Shishkin mesh. We have established almost first‐ and second‐order convergence with respect to finite difference and hybrid difference methods.

Stagnation‐point flow of the Walters′ B′ fluid with slip

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 61, Page 3249-3258, 2004., 2004
The steady two‐dimensional stagnation point flow of a non‐Newtonian Walters′ B′ fluid with slip is studied. The fluid impinges on the wall either orthogonally or obliquely. A finite difference technique is employed to obtain solutions.

Unsteady stagnation point flow of a non‐Newtonian second‐grade fluid

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2003, Issue 60, Page 3797-3807, 2003., 2003
The unsteady two‐dimensional flow of a viscoelastic second‐grade fluid impinging on an infinite plate is considered. The plate is making harmonic oscillations in its own plane. A finite difference technique is employed and solutions for small and large frequencies of the oscillations are obtained.

On the Linearization of Second-Order Differential and Difference Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This article complements recent results of the papers [J. Math. Phys. 41 (2000), 480; 45 (2004), 336] on the symmetry classification of second-order ordinary difference equations and meshes, as well as the Lagrangian formalism and Noether-type ...

Comment on `conservative discretizations of the Kepler motion'

open access: yes, 2009
We show that the exact integrator for the classical Kepler motion, recently found by Kozlov ({\it J. Phys. A: Math. Theor.\} {\bf 40} (2007) 4529-4539), can be derived in a simple natural way (using well known exact discretization of the harmonic ...

Performance analysis of SSE and AVX instructions in multi-core CPUs and GPU computing on FDTD scheme for solid and fluid vibration problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this work a unified treatment of solid and fluid vibration problems is developed by means of the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD). The scheme here proposed takes advantage from a scaling factor in the velocity fields that improves the performance ...

Energy-preserving numerical schemes of high accuracy for one-dimensional Hamiltonian systems

open access: yes, 2010
We present a class of non-standard numerical schemes which are modifications of the discrete gradient method. They preserve the energy integral exactly (up to the round-off error). The considered class contains locally exact discrete gradient schemes and

A One Step Method for the Solution of General Second Order Ordinary Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, an implicit one step method for the numerical solution of second order initial value problems of ordinary differential equations has been developed by collocation and interpolation technique.

Variable-step finite difference schemes for the solution of Sturm-Liouville problems

open access: yes, 2014
We discuss the solution of regular and singular Sturm-Liouville problems by means of High Order Finite Difference Schemes. We describe a code to define a discrete problem and its numerical solution by means of linear algebra techniques.
