High Accuracy Spectral Method for the Space-Fractional Diffusion Equations
, 2014In this paper, a high order accurate spectral method is presented for the space-fractional diffusion equations. Based on Fourier spectral method in space and Chebyshev collocation method in time, three high order accuracy schemes are proposed.

The Finite Point Method for Solving the 2-D 3-T Diffusion Equations
Communications in Computational Physics, 2019A new approach for numerically solving 3-T diffusion equations on 2-D scattered point distributions is developed by the finite point method. In this paper, a new method for selecting neighboring points is designed, which is robust and well reflects ...

The Kinematic Effects of the Defects in Liquid Crystal Dynamics
, 2016Here we investigate the kinematic transports of the defects in the nematic liquid crystal system by numerical experiments. The model is a shear flow case of the viscoelastic continuum model simplified from the Ericksen-Leslie system.

Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 2019
In this report, a partitioned time stepping algorithm for Navier-Stokes/Darcy model is analyzed. This method requires only solve one, uncoupled Navier-Stokes and Darcy problems in two different sub-domains respectively per time step.

An Implicit LU-SGS Scheme for the Spectral Volume Method on Unstructured Tetrahedral Grids
, 2009An efficient implicit lower-upper symmetric Gauss-Seidel (LU-SGS) solu- tion approach has been applied to a high order spectral volume (SV) method for un- structured tetrahedral grids.

Novel Conservative Methods for Schrödinger Equations with Variable Coefficients over Long Time
, 2014In this paper, we propose a wavelet collocation splitting (WCS) method, and a Fourier pseudospectral splitting (FPSS) method as comparison, for solving onedimensional and two-dimensional Schrödinger equations with variable coefficients in quantum ...

Legendre Pseudospectral Approximation of Boussinesq Systems and Applications to Wave Breaking
, 2016In this paper, we propose a spectral projection of a regularized Boussinesq system for wave propagation on the surface of a fluid. The spectral method is based on the use of Legendre polynomials, and is able to handle time-dependent Dirichlet boundary ...
