Performance Analysis of CR-Enabled AmBC NOMA Under IQI and Sensitivity Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Access
Considering tag sensitivity and in-phase and quadrature-phase imbalance (IQI), this paper investigates the reliability and security of a cognitive radio (CR)-aided ambient backscatter communication (AmBC) non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system ...

Fructan biosynthesis in Lolium perenne : tissue, cultivar and temperature effects on gene expression and protein accumulation profiles : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Plant Biology at Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Cultivars of Lolium perenne with high concentrations of water soluble carbohydrates (WSCs) offer opportunities to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions (nitrous oxides) from grazed pastures and improve meat and milk production in livestock.

Spectroscopy of Ultracold, Trapped Cesium Feshbach Molecules

open access: yes, 2007
We explore the rich internal structure of Cs_2 Feshbach molecules. Pure ultracold molecular samples are prepared in a CO_2-laser trap, and a multitude of weakly bound states is populated by elaborate magnetic-field ramping techniques.

Age‐Related Changes in Myeloid Cells and Their Impact on Subcutaneous Melanoma Growth in Mice

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Our findings reveal that age‐related changes in subcutaneous melanoma growth and immunotherapy response are context‐dependent. In models where tumor growth and treatment resistance increase with age, this effect is partly driven by enhanced immunosuppression from myeloperoxidase‐active Gr‐1⁺ myeloid cells.

High-Throughput, Sorted QR Accelerator for Non-Linear Processing in Open-RAN Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access
Open Radio Access Networks (Open-RANs) require cost- and energy-efficient solutions to facilitate their large-scale deployment. A significant concern in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems employing traditional linear processing is the ...

Structural Disorder, Octahedral Coordination, and 2-Dimensional Ferromagnetism in Anhydrous Alums

open access: yes, 2008
The crystal structures of the triangular lattice, layered anhydrous alums KCr(SO4)2, RbCr(SO4)2 and KAl(SO4)2 are characterized by X-ray and neutron powder diffraction at temperatures between 1.4 and 773 K.

Adipose Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Exosomes in Conjunction with Roflumilast Ameliorate Chronic Kidney Disease Through the Modulation of Fibrosis and Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The novelty of this study showed that the injection of exosomes produced from ADMSCs in combination with Roflumilast poses a more favorable therapeutic outcome for CKD induced by Adriamycin, compared to therapy with exosomes or Roflumilast alone. Roflumilast and exosomes treatment lowered the expression of the apoptotic, fibrotic, and inflammatory ...

Illuminating New Frontiers: Exploring the Photosensitizing Potential of Passiflora Species in Combating Methicillin‐Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Their Infection in Senescent Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
This study investigates the photosensitizing potential of Passiflora cincinnata in Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy (aPDT) against skin infection caused by Methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in a senescent murine model. The P. cincinnata exhibits antimicrobial activity, with reduced bacterial load, lower leukocyte infiltration, and ...
