Possible evidence of a spontaneous spin-polarization in mesoscopic 2D electron systems
We have experimentally studied the non-equilibrium transport in low-density clean 2D electron systems at mesoscopic length scales. At zero magnetic field (B), a double-peak structure in the non-linear conductance was observed close to the Fermi energy in

Motivated by the concept of clean ideals, we introduce the notion of nil clean ideals of a ring. We define an ideal $I$ of a ring $R$ to be nil clean ideal if every element of $I$ can be written as a sum of an idempotent and a nilpotent element of $R$. In this article we discuss various properties of nil clean ideals.

The phase diagram of high-Tc's: Influence of anisotropy and disorder
We propose a phase diagram for the vortex structure of high temperature superconductors which incorporates the effects of anisotropy and disorder. It is based on numerical simulations using the three-dimensional Josephson junction array model. We support

Thermal diffractive corrections to Casimir energies
We study the interplay of thermal and diffractive effects in Casimir energies. We consider plates with edges, oriented either parallel or perpendicular to each other, as well as a single plate with a slit.

Constrained hyperbolic divergence cleaning in smoothed particle magnetohydrodynamics with variable cleaning speeds [PDF]
We present an updated constrained hyperbolic/parabolic divergence cleaning algorithm for smoothed particle magnetohydrodynamics (SPMHD) that remains conservative with wave cleaning speeds which vary in space and time. This is accomplished by evolving the quantity $\psi / c_h$ instead of $\psi$.

The clean cooking challenge in India is deeply intertwined with socioeconomic, cultural, and infrastructural barriers. Despite government initiatives, a significant portion of the population still depends on solid biomass for cooking, leading to severe ...

AlphaClean: Automatic Generation of Data Cleaning Pipelines [PDF]
The analyst effort in data cleaning is gradually shifting away from the design of hand-written scripts to building and tuning complex pipelines of automated data cleaning libraries. Hyper-parameter tuning for data cleaning is very different than hyper-parameter tuning for machine learning since the pipeline components and objective functions have ...

The sub-arcsecond hard X-ray structure of loop footpoints in a solar flare
The newly developed X-ray visibility forward fitting technique is applied to Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) data of a limb flare to investigate the energy and height dependence on sizes, shapes, and position of hard X-ray ...
