Decreasing or increasing heat shock protein 72 exacerbates or attenuates heat‐induced cell death, respectively, in rat hypothalamic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, 2015
Heat shock protein (HSP) 72 in serum was decreased to a greater degree in patients with serious heat stroke than in those with mild heat stroke. Thus, increased levels of HSP72 appeared to correlate with a better outcome for the patient.

$L^p$-$L^q$ Maximal Regularity for some Operators Associated with Linearized Incompressible Fluid-Rigid Body Problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We study an unbounded operator arising naturally after linearizing the system modelling the motion of a rigid body in a viscous incompressible fluid. We show that this operator is $\mathcal{R}$ sectorial in $L^q$ for every $q\in (1,\infty)$, thus it has ...

Reestablishment of Redox Homeostasis in the Nociceptive Primary Afferent as a Mechanism of Antinociception Promoted by Mesenchymal Stem/Stromal Cells in Oxaliplatin-Induced Chronic Peripheral Neuropathy

open access: yesStem Cells International, 2021
Painful neuropathy is a common adverse effect of oxaliplatin (OXL), a platinum-derivative chemotherapeutic agent. Oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction are key factors contributing to the development of OXL-induced peripheral neuropathy (OIPN ...
