A Galaxy Cluster Near NGC 720

open access: yes, 2005
The galaxy cluster RXJ 0152.7-1357 is emitting X-rays at the high rate of 148 counts $ks^{-1}$. It would be one of the most luminous X-ray clusters known if it is at its redshift distance of z = .8325.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Muon-spin rotation measurements of the penetration depth of the Mo_3Sb_7 superconductor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Measurements of the magnetic field penetration depth \lambda in superconductor Mo_3Sb_7 (T_c~2.1 K) were carried out by means of muon-spin-rotation. The absolute values of \lambda, the Ginzburg-Landau parameter \kappa, the first H_{c1} and the second H_ ...

Nanoparticle Shape Dictates Catalytic Performance in Selective Hydrogenation of Butadiene Over Au‐Pd Core‐Shell Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the exposed crystal facet of shape‐controlled Au‐Pd core‐shell catalysts though colloidal synthesis enhances their catalytic performance in the industrially relevant selective hydrogenation of butadiene. ABSTRACT Selective hydrogenation of butadiene is a critical step in purification of alkene feedstocks for polymer production and is ...

A Personalized, 3D Printed Polymeric Device for the Prevention of Post‐Myocardial Infarction Cardiac Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Myocardial infarction often leads to pathological remodelling and ventricular dilatation, key features of HFrEF. This study introduces a personalized, 3D‐printed cardiac restraint device (CARD) printed using rationally designed inks displaying the requested printability and mechanical properties.
