The Etruscan elite furnished their tombs with extraordinary sumptuousness, following a specifically “barbarian” custom—adopted throughout their civilization—that began in the second half of the eighth century BC and reached its peak in the seventh. The three major arts—stone sculpture, architecture, and painting—developed in this period mostly for use ...

Environmental and local habitat variables as predictors of trophic interactions in subtidal rocky reefs along the SE Pacific coast

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Temperature generally drives latitudinal patterns in the strength of trophic interactions, including consumption rates. However, local community and other environmental conditions might also affect consumption, disrupting latitudinal gradients, which results in complex large‐scale patterns.

Facet‐Tailored Co3O4 as Electronic Regulator and Stabilizing Support for Ru Nanocluster: Toward Efficient Alkaline HER

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Facet‐engineered Ru@Co3O4 nanosheets precisely anchor Ru nanoclusters on the Co3O4 (111) facets, optimizing the hydrogen‐bond network of interfacial water and downshifting the Ru d‐band center. The Ru@Co3O4 NSs show outstanding HER activity and long‐term durability in AEMWE devices. This work demonstrates a crystal facet engineering strategy to develop

A Photoredox Radical‐Polar Crossover Reaction for the Preparation of Monoprotected Dicarbonyl Compounds

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
An ATRA‐based, Ru‐photocatalyzed radical‐polar crossover reaction for the preparation of monoprotected dicarbonyl compounds is reported. This procedure is based on the capture of a cationic intermediate, arising from the radical step, with diverse nucleophiles.
