Convergence Results for Elliptic Variational-Hemivariational Inequalities

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2020
We consider an elliptic variational-hemivariational inequality 𝓟 in a reflexive Banach space, governed by a set of constraints K, a nonlinear operator A, and an element f.

Variational and numerical analysis of the Signorini′s contact problem in viscoplasticity with damage

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2003, Issue 2, Page 87-114, 2003., 2003
We consider the quasistatic Signorini′s contact problem with damage for elastic‐viscoplastic bodies. The mechanical damage of the material, caused by excessive stress or strain, is described by a damage function whose evolution is modeled by an inclusion of parabolic type.

On the frictionless unilateral contact of two viscoelastic bodies

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2003, Issue 11, Page 575-603, 2003., 2003
We consider a mathematical model which describes the quasistatic contact between two deformable bodies. The bodies are assumed to have a viscoelastic behavior that we model with Kelvin‐Voigt constitutive law. The contact is frictionless and is modeled with the classical Signorini condition with zero‐gap function.

A frictionless contact problem for viscoelastic materials

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 1-21, 2002., 2002
We consider a mathematical model which describes the contact between a deformable body and an obstacle, the so‐called foundation. The body is assumed to have a viscoelastic behavior that we model with the Kelvin‐Voigt constitutive law. The contact is frictionless and is modeled with the well‐known Signorini condition in a form with a zero gap function.

Penalty method for unilateral contact problem with Coulomb's friction in time-fractional derivatives

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
The purpose of this work is to study a mathematical model that describes a contact between a deformable body and a rigid foundation. A linear viscoelastic Kelvin-Voigt constitutive law with time-fractional derivatives describes the material’s behavior ...

A Rothe method for a viscoelastic contact problem involving time-fractional derivatives in locking materials

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
This study examines a contact problem involving viscoelastic materials interacting with a rigid foundation. The constitutive relationship is derived from a time-fractional Kelvin–Voigt model.

Analysis of an evolutionary fractional hemivariational inequality with applications

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
This paper investigates a novel abstract system that includes a fractional differential equation of the Atangana-Baleanu type and a history-dependent evolutionary hemivariational inequality (AB-FDEHI).
