Bio‐Orthogonally Crosslinked Supramolecular Polymer Bottlebrush Hydrogels for Long‐Term 3D Cell Culture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fibrous benzenetrispeptide (BTP) hydrogels, fabricated via strain‐promoted azide‐alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) crosslinking, form robust, bioinert networks. These hydrogels can support 3D cell culture, where cell viability and colony growth depend on the fiber content.

MiR-760 enhances sensitivity of pancreatic cancer cells to gemcitabine through modulating Integrin β1

open access: yesBioscience Reports, 2019
Pancreatic cancer (PC) is the most lethal tumor type among human diseases, with low survival rate. The investigation of potent molecular mechanisms involved in PC is still obscure owing to its drug resistance.

Photoactivated Proximity Protein Labeling Reveals Enhanced Tumor Retention of a D‐Peptide‐Ruthenium Prodrug Conjugate

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Six stereoisomeric ruthenium‐peptide conjugates were synthesized and characterized, which showed high potential in photoactivated chemotherapy (PACT) and proximity protein labeling. Abstract Amino acid chirality is known to influence the biological properties of peptide‐containing prodrugs.

TBR-760, a Dopamine-Somatostatin Compound, Arrests Growth of Aggressive Nonfunctioning Pituitary Adenomas in Mice

open access: yesEndocrinology, 2020
TBR-760 (formerly BIM-23A760) is a chimeric dopamine (DA)-somatostatin (SST) compound with potent agonist activity at both DA type 2 (D2R) and SST type 2 (SSTR2) receptors.

Creep-rupture behavior of seven iron-base alloys after long term aging at 760 deg in low pressure hydrogen [PDF]

open access: yes
Seven candidate iron-base alloys for heater tube application in the Stirling automotive engine were aged for 3500 hours at 760 C in argon and hydrogen. Aging degraded the tensile and creep-rupture properties.

High frequency ESR investigation on dynamical charge disproportionation and spin gap excitation in NaV_2O_5

open access: yes, 2000
A significant frequency dependence of the ESR line width is found in NaV_2O_5 between 34-100 K and the line width increases as the resonance frequency is increased from 95 GHz to 760 GHz.

Demonstration of a microelectromechanical tunable F-P cavity based on graphene-bonded fiber devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Taking advantage of the high thermal conductivity of graphene, this paper demonstrates a microelectromechanical (MEM) tunable Fabry-Perot (F-P) cavity, based on a graphene-bonded fiber device (GFD) which acts as a microheater.

Start, Stop, Rewind, Repeat—Cyclic Exposure of Adipose Stromal Cells‐derived Cartilage Organoids to Chondrogenic and Proliferative Cues to Achieve Scaled‐up and Customizable Bone Formation by Endochondral Ossification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study exploits the plasticity of ASCs‐derived cartilage organoids which generate a perichondrial layer of MSCs when exposed to cyclic chondrogenic/proliferative cues. Using these organoids as building blocks, we develop (i) Phalange Shaped Tissue Engineered Cartilage (Pa‐TECs), recapitulating endochondral ossification suitable for the treatment of

Rationalizing Historical Successes of Malaria Control in Africa in Terms of Mosquito Resource Availability Management. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Environmental management of mosquito resources is a promising approach with which to control malaria, but it has seen little application in Africa for more than half a century. Here we present a kinetic model of mosquito foraging for aquatic habitats and
