Advancing the Co‐Based Anode Catalysts Using Ionomers in Pure‐Water Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolyzers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The role of ionomers is investigated in advancing cobalt‐based oxygen evolution catalysts in pure‐water anion exchange membrane electrolysers. Using in situ electrochemical analysis, ex situ material characterization, and membrane potential sensing, it is observed surface reconstruction at high currents and mitigated it via ionomer coating, achieving ...

Wound Complications Following 760 Total Ankle Replacements

open access: yesFoot & Ankle Orthopaedics, 2016
Category: Ankle Arthritis. Introduction/Purpose: Wound complications following total ankle replacement (TAR) potentially lead to devastating consequences. The aim of this study is to compare the surgical and demographic differences in those with and without wounds which require operative management. We hypothesize that increased tourniquet and surgical

ATLAS on-Z Excess Through Vector-Like Quarks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate the possibility that the excess observed in the leptonic-$Z +$jets $+\slashed{E}_T$ ATLAS SUSY search is due to pair productions of a vector-like quark $U$ decaying to the first-generation quarks and $Z$ boson.

Multifunctional Neural Probes Enable Bidirectional Electrical, Optical, and Chemical Recording and Stimulation In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Convergence drawing is used to create flexible, microscale, multifunctional fiber‐based neural probes. Optimized materials selection enables individual devices to perform neural recording, electrical stimulation, optogenetics, fiber photometry, fluid delivery, and voltammetric neurotransmitter detection in rodents.

Molecular Control of the Donor/Acceptor Interface Suppresses Charge Recombination Enabling High‐Efficiency Single‐Component Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The outstanding double‐cable‐based single‐component material, DCPY2, exhibits a suppressed charge recombination process alongside efficient charge generation. This results in a high fill factor and short‐circuit current, yielding an efficiency to 13.85%.

Untangling the Role of Capping Agents in Manipulating Electrochemical Behaviors Toward Practical Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by the critical role of capping agents in nanomaterials synthesis and bulk crystal growth, the role of capping agents in manipulating the electrochemical behaviors of AZIBs is untangled. The multifunctional role of the capping agents in terms of the Zn anode, electrolyte, and cathode validates stable and practical AZIBs. Abstract Long‐standing

Renormalization in Quantum Mechanics

open access: yes, 1993
We implement the concept of Wilson renormalization in the context of simple quantum mechanical systems. The attractive inverse square potential leads to a $\b$ function with a nontrivial ultraviolet stable fixed point and the Hulthen potential exhibits ...

Structured Light Projection Using Image Guide Fibers for In Situ Photo‐biofabrication

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐based biofabrication is typically performed with single wavelength light sources and within benchtop devices. This work demonstrates FaSt‐Light (Fiber‐assisted Structured Light) as a new approach to achieve multiwavelength image projection using flexible image guide fibers, which enables a variety of applications for in situ biofabrication ...

Heteronanoarchitecture of Ti3C2Tx MXene and Amorphous MOF for Exceptional Durability in Electro‐Ionic Soft Actuator

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The nanoscale hybridization of MXene and amorphous metal‐organic framework (MXene–aMOF) achieves exceptional electrochemical stability and ion storage capacity, attributed to the synergistic interplay between the nanoporous surfaces of aMOF and the metal‐like electron conduction of MXene.
