Finger Prosthesis Driven by DEA Pairs as Agonist–Antagonist Artificial Muscles

open access: yesBiomimetics
Loss of an upper limb exerts a negative influence on an individual’s ability to perform their activities of daily living (ADLs), reducing quality of life and self-esteem.

Normal forms for hypersurfaces of finite type in $\mathbb C^2$ [PDF]

open access: yesMath. Res. Lett. 12 (2005), 897-910, 2006
We construct normal forms for Levi degenerate hypersurfaces of finite type in $\mathbb C^2$. As one consequence, an explicit solution to the problem of local biholomorphic equivalence is obtained. Another consequence determines the dimension of the stability group of the hypersurface.

Approaching ultra-strong coupling in Transmon circuit-QED using a high-impedance resonator

open access: yes, 2017
In this experiment, we couple a superconducting Transmon qubit to a high-impedance $645\ \Omega$ microwave resonator. Doing so leads to a large qubit-resonator coupling rate $g$, measured through a large vacuum Rabi splitting of $2g\simeq 910$ MHz.

Expanding the Tyrosine Kinase Domain of CSF1R? A Case Report From an Adult‐Onset Leukoencephalopathy

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Adult‐onset leukoencephalopathy with axonal spheroids and pigmented glia (ALSP), also termed hereditary diffuse leukoencephalopathy with spheroids‐1 (HDLS1), results from mutations in the CSF1R gene and leads to progressive leukoencephalopathy.

The combined influence of polythiophene side chains and electrolyte anions on organic electrochemical transistors

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, Volume 2, Issue 6, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Polythiophenes with differently functionalized side chains (alkyl, oligoethylene oxide, ester, hydroxy, and carboxylic acid) and varied counter ions of potassium salt electrolytes were investigated in organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs).

Cytoplasm of the Wild Species Aegilops mutica Reduces VRN1 Gene Expression in Early Growth of Cultivated Wheat: Prospects for Using Alloplasmic Lines to Breed Varieties Adapted to Global Warming

open access: yesPlants
In a warm winter due to climate warming, it is necessary to suppress early flowering of autumn-sown wheat plants. Here, we propose the use of cytoplasmic genome effects for this purpose.

Setup and Characterization of a Fiber Brillouin Amplifier Module for Optical Frequency Transfer Over Interferometric Fiber Links

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, EarlyView.
This study offers a comprehensive overview of the design of fiber Brillouin amplifier modules (FBAMs) for stabilized optical frequency dissemination. It presents a thorough evaluation of the amplification characteristics across various optical signal and pump power levels.

A sharp Bogomolov-type bound [PDF]

open access: yesNew York Journal of Mathematics, Volume 18 (2012) 891-910, 2016
We prove a sharp lower bound for the essential minimum of a non-translate variety in certain abelian varieties. This uses and generalises a result of Galateau. Our bound is a new step in direction of an abelian analogue by David and Philippon of a toric conjecture of Amoroso and David and has applications in the framework of anomalous intersections.

Users manual for 0S910, the SDS-910 operating system. [For SDS-910--PDP-15 computer network] [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
This document is designed for the users of the OS910 real-time operating system for the SDS-910--PDP-15 computer network. It describes what information the user must provide to the system for successful operation. Included is a description of all programed operators (POPS) that will be of use to the user. 2 tables (auth)
