This article presents a cost-effective optimal control analysis of interventions applied to a S2EI2RS type deterministic compartmental model of COVID-19, considering community awareness and immunity loss. We introduce two time-dependent controls, namely,

Effect of randomly fluctuating environment on autotroph‐herbivore model system
First we deal with a brief introduction of the autotroph‐herbivore model system along with deterministic analysis of local stability, bifurcation behavior, and persistence of the populations. The second part consists of the stochastic formulation of the model system to incorporate the effect of environmental fluctuation and then analysis of ...

Subthreshold domain of bistable equilibria for a model of HIV epidemiology
A homogeneous‐mixing population model for HIV transmission, which incorporates an anti‐HIV preventive vaccine, is studied qualitatively. The local and global stability analysis of the associated equilibria of the model reveals that the model can have multiple stable equilibria simultaneously.

Homoclinic and heteroclinic solutions to a hepatitis C evolution model
Homoclinic and heteroclinic solutions to a standard hepatitis C virus (HCV) evolution model described by T. C. Reluga, H. Dahari and A. S. Perelson, (SIAM J. Appl. Math., 69 (2009), pp. 999–1023) are considered in this paper.

Prey-predator model in drainage system with migration and harvesting
In this paper, we consider a prey-predator model with a reserve region of predator where generalist predator cannot enter. Based on the intake capacity of food and other factors, we introduce the predator population which consumes the prey population ...

The generalized Turner‐Bradley‐Kirk‐Pruitt equation
Several recent results pertaining to nonlinear equations of ecology are applied to a generalization of the Turner‐Bradley‐Kirk‐Pruitt (TBKP) equation, which illustrates a variety of interesting possibilities as regards persistence and extinction. The chief novelty consists in exploiting the value set of the equation, that is, the set of values taken on

An epidemic model with density dependent parameters and vaccination
A model originally suggested by Greenhalgh [12] and later modified by that same author [13,14] is considered under the assumption that the transmission coefficient is inversely proportional to the total population size. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of this density dependent transmission coefficient on the stability criteria for the ...

An eco-epidemiological model with predator switching behavior
Switching mechanism is adopted by predator populations when they are provided with two types of prey: susceptible and infected. In this study, we propose a modification of an eco-epidemiological model with the predator switching mechanism.

This work will study an optimal control problem describing the two‐strain SEIR epidemic model. The model studied is in the form of six nonlinear differential equations illustrating the dynamics of the susceptible and the exposed, the infected, and the recovered individuals.
