On a predator-prey system interaction under fluctuating water level with nonselective harvesting
A predator-prey model interaction under fluctuating water level with non-selective harvesting is proposed and studied in this paper. Sufficient conditions for the permanence of two populations and the extinction of predator population are provided.

Control of mosaic disease using microbial biostimulants: insights from mathematical modelling [PDF]
A major challenge to successful crop production comes from viral diseases of plants that cause significant crop losses, threatening global food security and the livelihoods of countries that rely on those crops for their staple foods or source of income.

Global periodic solutions in a plankton-fish interaction model with toxication delay
In this paper, a plankton-fish interaction model is proposed and analyzed with the help of delay differential equations. Firstly, the elementary dynamical properties of the system in the absence of time delay is discussed.

Homogenization techniques for population dynamics in strongly heterogeneous landscapes [PDF]
An important problem in spatial ecology is to understand how population-scale patterns emerge from individual-level birth, death, and movement processes.

STABILITY ANALYSIS OF THE EULER DISCRETIZATION FOR THE HARVESTING LESLIE-GOWER PREDATOR-PREY MODEL
In this paper, a harvesting Leslie-Gower equations is discretized using the forward Euler method. The dynamical properties of the resulted discrete system is then analysed.

Dynamic ecological system measures
The system decomposition theory has recently been developed for the dynamic analysis of nonlinear compartmental systems. The application of this theory to the ecosystem analysis has also been introduced in a separate article.

Delayed stability switches in singularly perturbed predator-prey models [PDF]
In this paper we provide an elementary proof of the existence of canard solutions for a class of singularly perturbed predator-prey planar systems in which there occurs a transcritical bifurcation of quasi steady states.

A Comparison of the Trojan Y Chromosome Strategy to Harvesting Models for Eradication of Non-Native Species [PDF]
The Trojan Y Chromosome Strategy (TYC) is a promising eradication method for biological control of non-native species. The strategy works by manipulating the sex ratio of a population through the introduction of \textit{supermales} that guarantee male ...

Does a population with the highest turnover coefficient win competition?
We consider a discrete time competition model. Populations compete for common limited resources but they have different fertilities and mortalities rates. We compare dynamical properties of this model with its continuous counterpart.
