On a predator-prey system interaction under fluctuating water level with nonselective harvesting
A predator-prey model interaction under fluctuating water level with non-selective harvesting is proposed and studied in this paper. Sufficient conditions for the permanence of two populations and the extinction of predator population are provided.

Daphnias: from the individual based model to the large population equation [PDF]
The class of deterministic 'Daphnia' models treated by Diekmann et al. (J Math Biol 61: 277-318, 2010) has a long history going back to Nisbet and Gurney (Theor Pop Biol 23: 114-135, 1983) and Diekmann et al. (Nieuw Archief voor Wiskunde 4: 82-109, 1984).

STABILITY ANALYSIS OF THE EULER DISCRETIZATION FOR THE HARVESTING LESLIE-GOWER PREDATOR-PREY MODEL
In this paper, a harvesting Leslie-Gower equations is discretized using the forward Euler method. The dynamical properties of the resulted discrete system is then analysed.

A mathematical model for the transmission of buruli ulcer disease is proposed in this paper, incorporating three control strategies. Using the stability theory of differential equations, optimal control, and computer simulation, a nonlinear mathematical ...

A food chain ecoepidemic model: infection at the bottom trophic level [PDF]
In this paper we consider a three level food web subject to a disease affecting the bottom prey. The resulting dynamics is much richer with respect to the purely demographic model, in that it contains more transcritical bifurcations, gluing together the ...

Connecting deterministic and stochastic metapopulation models [PDF]
In this paper, we study the relationship between certain stochastic and deterministic versions of Hanski's incidence function model and the spatially realistic Levins model.

In this paper, the system comprises of a commensal (S1), two hosts S2 and S3 ie., S2 and S3 both benefit S1, without getting themselves effected either positively or adversely.

Does a population with the highest turnover coefficient win competition?
We consider a discrete time competition model. Populations compete for common limited resources but they have different fertilities and mortalities rates. We compare dynamical properties of this model with its continuous counterpart.

Periodic oscillation in the delayed CF-system
This paper deals with the stability analysis of an autonomous system of differential equations and a nonlinear system of reaction diffusion equations with discrete time delay which models the behavior of a predator population whose dynamics depends on ...
