Copper‐doped borosilicate bioactive glass coating modified bacterial cellulose functional dressing for diabetic ulcer

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
For the first time, a borosilicate‐based bioactive glass coating was successfully formed on the surface of bacterial cellulose nanofibers. A copper‐doped borosilicate bioactive glass coating‐modified bacterial cellulose functional dressing was designed for the management of chronic wounds, such as diabetic ulcers.

Mechanistic Insights Into How Rewiring and Bifurcation Angle Affect DK‐Crush Stent Deployment

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Double kissing crush (DKC) is a preferred two‐stent technique for complex coronary bifurcation lesions. Proximal cell rewiring is routinely recommended to reduce technical failure, and DKC is considered effective across various bifurcation angles. However, it remains unclear whether this standard approach is optimal for all patients.

An optimized spatial target trajectory prediction model for multi-sensor data fusion in air traffic management

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal
With the evolution of air traffic safety management, the traditional single-sensor approach no longer meets the demands for spatial target surveillance. Consequently, there is increasing research interest in multi-sensor data fusion.

Tokenism or Catalytic? Exploring Board Gender Diversity Through the Lens of SDG 9 Outcomes in the EU Context

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study explores the relationship between Executive gender diversity (EGD) and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9—Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) in the European Union. It investigates whether female representation in corporate governance contributes to innovation‐driven sustainability.

Refractive index and temperature-sensing characteristics of a cladding-etched thin core fiber interferometer

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
A high refractive index (RI) sensor based on an in-line Mach–Zehnder mode interferometer (MZI) is proposed. The sensor was realized by splicing a 2-cm length of cladding-etched thin core fiber (TCF) between two single mode fibers (SMFs).

Synergetic Effect of Silicate Addition on Modifying Zincate Solvation and Regulating ZnO Formation Revealed by In Situ Raman Observation during Zn Discharging

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A practical and synergetic interfacial engineering strategy via silicate addition to modulate the Zn passivation issue for developing rechargeable Zn batteries is introduced. Zn offers higher safety and lower material cost over Li, making it promising alternative anode material for secondary batteries and grid‐scale sustainable energy storage ...

Biophysical and structural study of La Crosse virus endonuclease inhibition for the development of new antiviral options

open access: yesIUCrJ
The large Bunyavirales order includes several families of viruses with a segmented ambisense (−) RNA genome and a cytoplasmic life cycle that starts by synthesizing viral mRNA. The initiation of transcription, which is common to all members, relies on an

Multiscale analysis of the topological invariants in the logarithmic region of turbulent channels at $Re_{\tau}=932$

open access: yes, 2016
The invariants of the velocity gradient tensor, $R$ and $Q$, and their enstrophy and strain components are studied in the logarithmic layer of an incompressible turbulent channel flow.
