In Vivo Microplastic Detection With Photoacoustic Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Microplastics are posing an escalating threat to both ecological systems and human health. Yet, current methods for investigating their bioaccumulation are highly invasive, requiring destructive analysis of ex vivo tissues via mass spectrometry, dye labelling, or Raman microspectroscopy.

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Identifies a microRNA Orchestrating Pleiotropic Resistance to Targeted Therapy and T Cell Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

Astrocytic Phenotypic Switching in Posterior Piriform Cortex Orchestrates Bone Cancer Pain–Depression Comorbidity via Purinergic–Noradrenergic Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bone cancer pain and depression share a common origin: astrocytic A2‐to‐A1 transition in the posterior piriform cortex. This phenotypic shift disrupts the ATP–adenosine–A2AR–norepinephrine axis, simultaneously driving nociceptive and affective dysfunction.

$$D_s \rightarrow f_0(980)$$ D s → f 0 ( 980 ) form factors and the $$D_s^+ \rightarrow (f_0(980) \rightarrow )\left[ \pi \pi \right] _{S}^{\textrm{I} = 0} e^+ \nu _e$$ D s + → ( f 0 ( 980 ) → ) π π S I = 0 e + ν e decay from light-cone sum rules

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
In this paper we revisit $$D_s \rightarrow f_0(980)$$ D s → f 0 ( 980 ) form factors from the light-cone sum rules based on the $${\bar{q}}q$$ q ¯ q picture of $$f_0(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) .

Highly Flexible and Conformable ZnO/FeGa Magnetoelectric Heterostructures for Skin wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The magnetic field‐induced electric field generated by a highly flexile ZnO(piezoelectric)/FeGa(magnetostrictive) magnetoelectric heterostructure embedded in the low Young's modulus elastomer PDMS has been used to stimulate the wound healing processes.

Multimodal Imaging Reveals Rapid Catecholamine Uptake and Release by Neutrophils

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We show that immune cells (neutrophils) synthesize, uptake, and store catecholamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine or adrenaline. They also release them in response to specific stimuli (serotonin), which we directly visualize using fluorescent nanosensors. We further demonstrate that catecholamines affect neutrophil functions (NETosis) and platelet

Roles of $$f_{0}(500)$$ f 0 ( 500 ) and $$f_{0}(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) in the $$D_{(s)}^{+}\rightarrow \pi ^{+}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ D ( s ) + → π + π + π - decays

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
With the recent measurements of the $$D_{s}^{+}\rightarrow \pi ^{+}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ D s + → π + π + π - and $$D^{+}\rightarrow \pi ^{+}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ D + → π + π + π - decays by the LHCb Collaboration, we study these two decay processes by ...

Smart Nanotechnologies for Multimodal Neuromodulation and Brain Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Recent advances in smart nanotechnologies are expanding the toolbox for brain interfacing, from wireless neuromodulation and high‐resolution sensing to targeted delivery within the central nervous system. By combining responsive nanomaterials with bioinspired design, these platforms enable multimodal interactions with neurons and glia, while also ...

High‐Throughput Data Generation and Transfer Learning Enabled Microstructure‐Property Integrated Design of Nickel‐Based Powder Metallurgy Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated transfer learning framework integrates CALPHAD simulations, diffusion‐multiple experiments, and literature data to predict long‐term microstructural stability and short‐term mechanical properties of Ni‐based powder metallurgy superalloys. Based on these model predictions, a high‐performance, low‐density alloy, USTB‐PM750, is designed from

Probing the structure of f0(980) from the elliptic flow in p-Pb collisions at the LHC

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
The f0(980) is a light scalar meson whose internal structure remains under debate and investigation. Assuming that the f0(980) is a KK¯ molecule that can only survive at the kinetic freeze-out of the evolving bulk matter, we implement the coalescence ...
