A Propositional CONEstrip Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present a variant of the CONEstrip algorithm for checking whether the origin lies in a finitely generated convex cone that can be open, closed, or neither. This variant is designed to deal efficiently with problems where the rays defining the cone are specified as linear combinations of propositional sentences.

Sequential Recommendation Based on Multi-space Attribute Information Fusion [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
The goal of sequential recommendation is to model users' dynamic interests from their historical behaviors, and hence to make recommendations related to the users' interests.Recently, attribute information has been demonstrated to improve the performance ...

A Consistent Boltzmann Algorithm

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1995
The direct simulation Monte Carlo method for the Boltzmann equation is modified by an additional displacement in the advection process and an enhanced collision rate in order to obtain the exact hard sphere equation of state at all densities. This leads to consistent thermodynamic and transport properties in the low density (Boltzmann) regime.

Learning Contour-Based Mid-Level Representation for Shape Classification

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This article proposes a novel contour-based mid-level shape description method for shape classification. This method resolves the shortcomings of low-level shape descriptors in dealing with the shapes of objects with large intra-class changes and non ...

A Polycyclic Quotient Algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Symbolic Computation, 1997
An algorithm to compute polycyclic quotients of a group given by a finite presentation is discussed. The algorithm is based on a generalization of the Gröbner basis method to the integral group ring of a polycyclic group. Most of this material can be found in the author's thesis (Rutgers Univ., 1996).
