A scanning integrating histophotometer

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1966
A scanning integrating microdensitometer for use in cytological determinations is described. The object to be measured is directly and uniformly scanned by a mechanically driven series of holes drilled in a metal disk. The measurement is made by comparison between a test and a reference photomultiplier.

A scanning spectroradiometer

Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1968
An instrument is described by which the absolute spectral power distribution of light sources can be displayed directly on a pen-recorder. It is based on a grating monochromator which is motor driven at a scanning rate of 100 nm min−1, and the variation with wavelength of the overall instrument response is automatically compensated by an electrical ...

A scanning interference microphotometer

Experimental Cell Research, 1957
Abstract An instrument for direct measurement of the optical path difference (o.p.d.) in biologic preparations is described. The instrument includes a Baker Interference Microscope. A small area (0.2 μ 2 ) of the preparation is projected onto a photomultiplier. The analyzer of the microscope is located in front of the photomultiplier. This analyzer
