In this article we considered a method of monitoring of toxicants in a turbulent water flow. The technique was based on SBS (stimulated Brillouin scattering). We have developed a mathematical model of light distribution in the medium with optical inhomogeneities. In our case quantity and form of inhomogeneities depended on time.
