Bioremediation of Olive Mill Wastewater Using Free and Immobilized Pseudomonas aeruginosa: Efficiency and Phytotoxicity Assessment

open access: yesWater and Environment Journal, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract compares the bioremediation performance of olive mill wastewater using P. aeruginosa immobilized in agar beads and fixed on activated carbon. Both systems effectively reduced chemical oxygen demand (COD), phenols, colour, phosphorus and lipids.

Electrotactile frequency perception over multiple stimulation sites does not use a winner‐takes‐all mechanism

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Peripheral tactile afferents exhibit a wide range of response patterns to a pure frequency vibratory stimulus. Some afferents, including those remote from the stimulus site, fire at lower rates as they do not respond to every vibration cycle of the stimulus.

Peripheral regeneration of Aβ low‐threshold mechanoreceptors is limited despite activation of regenerative transcriptional pathways

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend The regeneration of Aβ low‐threshold mechanoreceptors (Aβ‐LTMRs), sensory neurons responsible for discriminative touch, has not previously been explored. Here, we took advantage of the selective expression of Calb1 in Aβ‐LTMRs to generate two genetic mouse models for studying their regenerative response after nerve injury.

Workplace Violence in Indonesian Clinical Learning Environments: Cultural and Organisational Contexts Shaping Nursing Students' Experiences

open access: yesNursing Inquiry, Volume 33, Issue 4, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Workplace violence in clinical learning environments is increasingly recognised as a threat to nursing education and workforce sustainability, yet it is often understood as a series of isolated incidents rather than as a condition shaped by broader cultural and organisational forces.

Impact of Methylparaben on Cumulus Cell DNA Integrity and Porcine Oocyte Developmental Competence In Vitro

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, Volume 46, Issue 9, Page 2985-2996, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Parabens (PBs) are compounds widely used as preservatives in personal care products, food, and pharmaceuticals. Methylparaben (MePB) is the most used by different industries due to its chemical properties and low cost. The high daily human exposure to these compounds has raised concerns about their potential effects on health, particularly on ...
