Electromagnetic radiative corrections in parity-violating electron-proton scattering

open access: yes, 2005
QED radiative corrections have been calculated for leptonic and hadronic variables in parity-violating elastic ep scattering. For the first time, the calculation of the asymmetry in the elastic radiative tail is performed without the peaking ...

On–Off Switchable Micromotors for Use in Steerable Microvehicles

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Electrically controllable micromotors and microvehicles are developed by tuning the diffusion of the fuel. Self‐propelled micromotors using bubble propulsion show great promise for miniaturized devices with multiuse purposes such as cargo delivery and sensing. However, there is currently no method to electrically switch the micromotors on or off. Here,

On Thom Polynomials for A4(−) via Schur Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 05E05, 14N10, 57R45.We study the structure of the Thom polynomials for A4(−) singularities. We analyze the Schur function expansions of these polynomials.

Allosteric Modulation of Pathological Ataxin‐3 Aggregation: A Path to Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type‐3 Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers a new allosteric site in the Josephin domain of ataxin‐3 targeted by the molecular tweezer CLR01, which modulates protein aggregation, improves synaptic function in neuronal cells, and delays motor dysfunction in animal models.

$$A_4$$ A4 realization of linear seesaw and neutrino phenomenology

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2018
Motivated by the crucial role played by the discrete flavor symmetry groups in explaining the observed neutrino oscillation data, we consider the $$A_4$$ A4 realization of linear seesaw by extending the standard model (SM) particle content with two types

Anti‐PD‐1 Nanobody‐Armored MSLN CAR‐T Therapy for Malignant Mesothelioma: Preclinical and Clinical Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel therapy using engineered immune cells (NAC‐T cells) showed promise for refractory malignant mesothelioma. Based on the encouraging preclinical data, the first‐in‐human trial is initiated, demonstrating tolerable safety and promising anti‐tumor activity (ORR 63.6%, DCR 100%, including one CR).

Towards a Comprehensive Framework for Made-to-Measure Alginate Scaffolds for Tissue Engineering Using Numerical Simulation

open access: yesGels
Alginate hydrogels are integral to many cell-based models in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. As a natural biomaterial, the properties of alginates can vary and be widely adjusted through the gelation process, making them versatile additives

Lepton Flavour Violation in a Supersymmetric Model with A4 Flavour Symmetry

open access: yes, 2009
We compute the branching ratios for mu-> e gamma, tau-> mu gamma and tau -> e gamma in a supersymmetric model invariant under the flavour symmetry group A4 X Z3 X U(1)_{FN}, in which near tri-bimaximal lepton mixing is naturally predicted.

Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing of Human Lung Tissues Reveals Metallothionein‐Positive T Cells as a Novel Potential Marker of Susceptibility to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using single‐cell RNA sequencing of lung samples and flow cytometry of peripheral blood, we identified a novel T cell subset with high metallothionein (MT) expression. These MT‐high T cells suppress CD8+ T cell cytotoxicity and are progressively depleted from healthy controls to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients, positioning them as

Mapping MAGE-A4 expression in solid cancers for targeted therapies

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
Melanoma-associated antigen A4 (MAGE-A4) is a promising target for anticancer therapy. However, limited contemporary data are available on the details of MAGE-A4 protein expression in different cancer types.
