Simply influenza A (H3N2)-associated encephalitis with seizure

The American Journal of Emergency Medicine, 2019
Influenza-associated acute encephalopathy (IAE) is more prevalent in children than in adults and often results in neurological sequelae or even death. Diagnosis of IAE is difficult as clinical presentation varies significantly and the influenza virus is rarely detected in cerebrospinal fluid.

The Global Circulation of Seasonal Influenza A (H3N2) Viruses

Science, 2008
Antigenic and genetic analysis of the hemagglutinin of ∼13,000 human influenza A (H3N2) viruses from six continents during 2002–2007 revealed that there was continuous circulation in east and Southeast Asia (E-SE Asia) via a region-wide network of temporally overlapping epidemics and that epidemics in the temperate regions were seeded from this ...

Poster: H3N2 influenza vaccine: A historical perspective

2011 IEEE 1st International Conference on Computational Advances in Bio and Medical Sciences (ICCABS), 2011
We analyzed the dN/dS ratios of the vaccine strains against the immuno-escape mutant strain circulatings. Our preliminary analysis suggested the following: (1) Using graphical technique (see figure), we use sites (blue) with highest dN/dS ratios within the hyper-variable regions (red) (sites 100–200) of each flu season plotted against vaccine ...

Baicalin inhibits autophagy induced by influenza A virus H3N2

Antiviral Research, 2015
Baicalin, a natural product isolated from Scutellariaradix, has been reported to have significant in vivo and in vitro anti-influenza virus activity, but the underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. In this study, we found that baicalin inhibited autophagy induced by influenza virus A3/Beijing/30/95 (H3N2) in both A549 and Ana-1 cells.
