The decays $\rho^{-}\to\eta\pi^{-}$ and $\tau^{-}\to\eta(\eta')\pi^{-}\nu$ in the NJL model

open access: yes, 2012
The widths of the decays $\rho^{-}\to\eta\pi^{-}$ and $\tau^{-}\to\eta(\eta')\pi^{-}\nu$ are calculated in the framework of the NJL model. It is shown that these decays are defined by the $u$ and $d$ quark mass difference.

Catalytic γ‐Position‐Selective Reactions of (2‐Oxopropyl)phosphonates with Aldehydes to Afford γ,δ‐Unsaturated β‐Ketophosphonates

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 367, Issue 7, April 1, 2025.
Abstract Catalytic formal aldol condensation reactions between β‐ketophosphonates and arylaldehydes, in which the C−C double bond formation occurs at the γ‐position of the β‐ketophosphonate, are reported. The reactions were performed in the presence of a catalyst system composed of p‐anisidine and trifluoroacetic acid under mild conditions. Mechanistic

On the massive two-loop corrections to Bhabha scattering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We overview the general status of higher order corrections to Bhabha scattering and review recent progress in the determination of the two-loop virtual corrections. Quite recently, they were derived from combining a massless calculation and contributions

Experimental Validation of Numerical Simulation Model for No‐Load Hybrid Greenhouse Solar Dryer

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 13, Issue 3, Page 1103-1116, March 2025.
ABSTRACT This study is concerned with the development of a finite element (FE) model using COMSOL Multiphysics for hybrid greenhouse dryers in humid subtropical climate of Ranchi, under no‐load condition. The temperature and humidity distribution in the dryer was visualized using the FE model and compared against experimental data to evaluate its ...

CDF Wjj anomaly as a non-perturbative effect of the electro-weak interaction

open access: yes, 2011
The recently reported CDF excess at $120\,-\, 160\,GeV$ in invariant mass distribution of jet pairs accompanying $W$-boson is tentatively interpreted as a bound state of two $W$ decaying to quark-anti-quark pair.

Late‐Stage Functionalization Using a Popular Titrating Agent: Aryl‐Chlorides and ‐Fluorides Activation by the Diphenylacetic Acid Dianion

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 8, February 6, 2025.
A simple and cheap tool smoothly activates recalcitrant electron‐rich aryl fluorides by combining visible light irradiation with a popular titrating agent. The process generates in‐situ aryl radicals, which can be then trapped forming a variety of new covalent bonds.

O(\alpha^2 \ln(m_\mu/m_e)) Corrections to Electron Energy Spectrum in Muon Decay

open access: yes, 2002
O(\alpha^2 \ln(m_\mu/m_e)) corrections to electron energy spectrum in muon decay are computed using perturbative fragmentation function approach. The magnitude of these corrections is comparable to anticipated precision of the TWIST experiment at TRIUMF ...

Metal Pyrazolyl‐Diphosphonate Pillared Materials as Heterogeneous Catalysts in the Mukaiyama‐Type Aerobic Olefin Epoxidation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 6, January 27, 2025.
The coordination of the organic PZDP linker to alkaline earth or transition metals yields 2D‐pillared metal phosphonate frameworks under solvothermal or hydrothermal conditions. The structures of the materials are determined and the catalytic performance of Co‐PZDP is tested in the Mukaiyama olefin epoxidation, achieving high yields of the ...
