Abstract Objective This study aimed to evaluate whether a single dose of intravenous dexamethasone, when added to standard abortive therapy, reduces relapse of migraine after emergency department (ED) discharge in children and adolescents. Background Migraine is a leading cause of headache presentations to the ED for children and adolescents.

A priori and a posteriori error analyses of an augmented discontinuous Galerkin formulation
We use Galerkin least squares terms to develop a more general stabilized discontinuous Galerkin method for elliptic problems in the plane with mixed boundary conditions. The unique solvability and optimal rate of convergence of this scheme, with respect to the h-version, are established.

Romano Guardini and Cornelio Fabro on Kierkegaard's Christian Humanism
Abstract This article examines how Søren Kierkegaard's theological anthropology furnished resources for reconstructing Christian humanism among mid‐twentieth‐century Catholic thinkers. Focusing on Romano Guardini (1885‐1968) in Germany and Cornelio Fabro (1911‐1995) in Italy, I demonstrate how each thinker creatively appropriated Kierkegaard's ...

A Non‐Parametric Framework for Correlation Functions on Product Metric Spaces
Summary We propose a non‐parametric framework for analysing data defined over products of metric spaces, a versatile class encountered in various fields. This framework accommodates non‐stationarity and seasonality and is applicable to both local and global domains, such as the Earth's surface, as well as domains evolving over linear time or time ...

A wavelet method for solving backward heat conduction problems
In this article, we consider the backward heat conduction problem (BHCP). This classical problem is more severely ill-posed than some other problems, since the error of the data will be exponentially amplified at high frequency components.

Filter regularization method for a time-fractional inverse advection–dispersion problem
A filter regularization method is developed to solve a time-fractional inverse advection–dispersion problem, which is based on the modified ‘kernel’ idea.

‘Unbecoming’ a Professional: The Role of Memory during Field Transitions in Japan and the USA
Abstract Existing scholarship documents how, in becoming a professional, such as a partner in a professional services firm (PSF), one's habitus comes into alignment with field expectations. Less understood, however, is what happens to habitus and, relatedly, to professionals' accumulated cultural, social, and economic capitals, as individuals ‘unbecome’
