Study of cooling, heating and power characteristics of the improved multi-stage AA-CAES system

Advanced adiabatic compressed air energy storage (AA-CAES) system can effectively stabilize the fluctuations of new energy, and supply cooling, heating and power. This paper proposes an improved multi-stage AA-CAES system, in which a dual preheating structure is innovatively used between the expanders.

Load-adaptive reheat temperature optimization for pressurized-water AA-CAES under part-load operation considering turbine off-design characteristics

To improve the operating efficiency of advanced adiabatic compressed air energy storage (AA-CAES) systems under wide-load peak-regulation conditions, this paper focuses on the problem that a fixed reheating temperature setting is difficult to adapt to part-load operation in a pressurized-water AA-CAES system.
