3D‐Printed Dual‐Doped Ag2Se‐Based Thermoelectric Films With Enhanced Thermal Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Sb–Se dual doping enhances the thermal stability of Ag2Se‐based thermoelectric systems. The compositionally tuned nano‐ink is printed into flexible films by direct ink writing (DIW), retaining improved thermoelectric properties after annealing up to 400°C.

Hydro‐ and Lipophilicity of Molecular‐Size‐Controlled Hydrogel Drug Carriers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We investigate nano‐sized hydrogel drug carriers with tailored hydro‐ and lipophilicity. We design their encapsulation and structure‐forming capabilities and follow them in real time during fabrication using time‐resolved and in situ grazing incidence x‐ray scattering.

Ignorance in the time of AIDS: what we do, and do not know about the ABC message in Uganda [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The reduction of the HIV prevalence rate in Uganda during the early 1990s is often attributed to the introduction of an ABC policy. The Ugandan government is thought to have maintained a consistent message that suggested behaviour change in response to ...

ML-ABC: Machine-learning assisted Approximate Bayesian Computation for efficient calibration of agent-based models for pandemic outbreak analysis

open access: yesEpidemics
Mathematical modelling with agent-based models (ABMs) has gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic, but their complexity makes efficient and robust calibration to data challenging, particularly when applying Bayesian methods to quantify parameter ...

Autonomous Navigation of Pollen‐Inspired Magnetic Microrobots for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A sunflower pollen‐inspired magnetic microrobot enables controlled rolling navigation in vessel‐like environments. Its open geometry reduces hydrodynamic drag, while vision‐based closed‐loop control, shortest‐path planning, and reinforcement learning support target‐reaching and maze navigation with microrobot‐scale accuracy, highlighting a route toward
