Neuromorphic Electronics for Intelligence Everywhere: Emerging Devices, Flexible Platforms, and Scalable System Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Accelerating ABC methods using Gaussian processes

open access: yes, 2014
Approximate Bayesian computation (ABC) methods are used to approximate posterior distributions using simulation rather than likelihood calculations. We introduce Gaussian process (GP) accelerated ABC, which we show can significantly reduce the number of simulations required.

Inhibitors of ABC Transporters and Biophysical Methods to Study their Activity

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung C, 2009
Multidrug resistance caused by the presence and overproduction of ABC transporters makes serious problems in cancer treating. The drugs administered during therapy are pumped outside the cell using the energy obtained from ATP hydrolysis. The augmented dosage of drugs to overcome the multidrug resistance is not sufficient.

Ferromagnetism of Molecular Beam Epitaxy‐grown Ultra‐thin Cr2Ge2Te6 Films Down to the Monolayer Limit on Si Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Uniform monolayer Cr2Ge2Te6 films are achieved on Si substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. Intrinsic ferromagnetism with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is established in the films by anomalous Hall effect and superconducting quantum interference device measurements, albeit with strong magnetic fluctuations characteristic of its 2D nature.

Recent Progress in the Phase‐Controlled Synthesis of Ruthenium Nanocrystals for Catalytic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Template effect and kinetic control enable crystal‐phase engineering of Ru nanocrystals, granting access to either metastable fcc‐Ru or stable hcp‐Ru with distinct surface structures, thermal stabilities, and catalytic behaviors. Moreover, the hcp‐Ru can further serve as an epitaxial template to direct Pd and Rh nanocrystals into the metastable hcp ...

1‐D Collocated Dual‐Gradient Sensory Fibers for Comprehensive Sensing and Decoding of Complex Human Motion and Physiology

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Coupled materials design enables a monolithic fiber that integrates complementary sensing regimes into a single wearable strand. By preserving informative signal features across subtle physiological deformation, large body motion, and mixed mechanical inputs, the dual‐gradient architecture generates synchronized, less redundant outputs that improve ...

Side‐Chain‐Induced Interlayer Slipping in Metalloporphyrin COFs Enables Microenvironment and Spin‐State Regulation for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Alkoxy chain length drives a continuous transition from eclipsed AA to a serrated, slipped AA* configuration over Co‐porphyrin COFs. A moderate slip both contracts the pore channel to enrich CO2 and suppress hydrogen evolution, and enhances collective high‐spin of Co sites, which delivers a record CO production rate with high selectivity.
