Bilateral activation of the abdominal muscles induces longer reaction time

open access: yes, 2008
Objective: Bilateral deficit is the increase in reaction time during bilateral activation compared to unilateral activation. This has been reported extensively for the limb muscles and is argued to be due to concurrent inhibition through transcallosal ...

Photodynamic Priming and Minocycline Overcome Chemoresistance by Reprogramming the Pancreatic Tumor Immune Microenvironment In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dual priming with minocycline and photodynamic priming reprograms the pancreatic tumor microenvironment to overcome chemoresistance. By suppressing DNA repair enzyme Tdp1, inducing photooxidative damage, and enhancing irinotecan delivery via light‐activated nanoencapsulation, this strategy remodels the tumor microenvironment and drives immune ...

M-mode ultrasound evaluation of lateral abdominal muscle postural response to load: an exploratory study

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasonography
There is a need to evaluate the tissue deformation index of lateral abdominal muscles using M-mode ultrasound in a cohort of healthy subjects to establish a convenient reference point for clinical reasoning in patients. The aim of the study was to assess

Anterior Abdominal Wall Leiomyoma Arising De Novo in a Fertile Women: A Case Report

open access: yes대한영상의학회지, 2016
Abdominal wall leiomyoma arising de novo is very rare, hence the reported imaging findings of this disease are also rare. We reported the case of a 33-year-old woman who presented with an abdominal wall mass without antecedent gynecological surgeries ...

Dual‐Network Protein Hydrogels Promote Rapid Hemostasis and Immune‐Regulated Scarless Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐network protein hydrogel substantially improves hemostasis and scar‐free healing. The adaptive network maintains intimate tissue contact while providing strong wet adhesion, tunable mechanics, and controlled degradation. Concurrent ROS scavenging and M2 polarization suppress fibrotic pathways, preventing scar formation.

Integrated Single‐Cell and Spatial Analysis Reveals a Metabolic‐Immune Axis Driving Aortic Dissection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell and spatial profiling of 110 human thoracic aortic samples reveals a stromal–immune circuit driving aortic dissection. An elastin‐rich fibroblast subset is depleted with age and markedly reduced in disease, weakening aortic wall integrity.

Abdominal wall muscles function estimation after hernioplasty

open access: yesБюллетень сибирской медицины, 2007
The results of surgery in the group of patients with incisional hernias are evaluated. Hernioplasty with polypropylene mesh was performed in 22 patients. Electromyography was performed for abdominal wall muscles function estimation. High effectiveness of

Asymmetrically Coordinated Dual‐Atom Manganese Contrast Agents Enabling High‐Efficiency T1 Enhanced MRI for Precise Tumor Visualization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel dual‐atom manganese MRI contrast agent (Mn‐BN) with a unique asymmetric coordination geometry provided a promising platform for sensitive and specific tumor imaging. In mice model, Mn‐BN nanoparticles precisely functioned as both a primary tumor‐specific enhancer in subcutaneous models and a hepatocyte‐specific agent in liver metastases models ...

The Effectiveness of four Motor Games for the Abdominal Conditioning

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Human Movement, 2010
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of four traditional motor games (“the tunnel”, “the chicken battle”, “the drunk” and “the wheelbarrow race”) for strengthening the abdominal muscles.
