A remark on kth-order linear functional equations with constant coefficients

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2006
Abel functional equations are associated to a linear homogeneous functional equation with constant coefficients. The work uses the space S of continuous strictly monotonic functions.

A Decision‐Making Model for Implementing Green Technology in Sustainable Building Projects

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Green technology (GT) adoption is pivotal for reconciling environmental stewardship with economic viability in the built environment, particularly in resource‐constrained emerging economies. However, empirical evidence on how specific GT drivers actively mitigate adoption barriers remains scarce.

Rational solutions and limit cycles of polynomial and trigonometric Abel equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
e study the Abel differential equation $x'=A(t)x^3+B(t)x^2+C(t)x$. Specifically, we find bounds on the number of its rational solutions when $A(t), B(t)$ and $C(t)$ are polynomials with real or complex coefficients; and on the number of rational limit ...

Application of Ultrasonic Sensors for Determining the Height of Dynamic Two‐Phase Layers in Tray Columns

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
Ultrasonic sensors are evaluated for their applicability in dynamic gas–liquid systems. By comparing sensor data with two independent optical reference methods, their robustness and reliability are demonstrated under varying flow conditions and tray geometries in column systems.

Asymptotics to all orders of the Euler--Darboux equation in a triangle

open access: yes, 2018
In Einstein's theory of relativity, the interaction of two collinearly polarized plane gravitational waves can be described by a Goursat problem for the Euler--Darboux equation in a triangular domain. In this paper, using a representation of the solution

Agent‐Based Computational Modeling of the Stochastic Dynamic Behavior of Actin Filaments Recapitulates the Homeostatic Cortical Array in Plant Epidermal Cells

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The homeostatic cortical actin array in plant cells plays important roles in fundamental processes, including intracellular transport, secretion, cell expansion, and cytoplasmic streaming. In response to diverse chemical and mechanical signals, the cortical array can remodel within minutes to assume new configurations or altered filament ...

ON SOME BOUNDARY PROPERTIES OF ABEL–POISSON INTEGRALS

open access: yesМіжнародний науково-технічний журнал "Проблеми керування та інформатики", 2020
When obtaining an analytical solution to many problems of applied mathematics using classical analytical methods, one encounters great mathematical difficulties. In most cases, these difficulties are caused by the huge amount of information (parameters)

Abel's Integral Equation as a Convolution Transform [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1956
the first equation to be treated and solved as an integral equation, has an extensive literature, dealing on the one hand with properties of the functions involved, and on the other hand with the solution, and conditions for solubility of the equation. In the first category one might cite, in the modern spirit, the memoirs of Hardy [1, pp.

Creep properties and constitutive model of diabase in deep water conveyance tunnels

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The axial and lateral creep characteristics of diabase were analyzed based on compression creep tests. The nonlinear viscoelastic‐plastic model capable of describing the whole creep process was established based on the fractional derivative and damage theories.
