Abelian p-extensions and additive polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics, 2017
In this work, we present some arithmetic properties of families of abelian [Formula: see text]-extensions of global function fields, among which are their generators and their type of ramification and decomposition.

On t-extensions of abelian groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Let G and C be two discrete abelian groups. It is known that Pext(C,G) is a subgroup of Ext(C,G). In this paper, we introduce the t-extensions of G by C. We will show that the set of all t-extensions of G by C is a subgroup of Ext(C,G) which contains Pext(C,G).

On the classification of abelian extensions

open access: yesThe São Paulo Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2012
For a flat Lie algebra g and a g-module M in a symmetric monoidal abelian category linear over a field of characteristic zero we establish and equivalence of categories between the groupoid of Lie algebra extensions of g by M and the groupoid of extensions in the category of g-modules of the augmentation ideal U(g)+by M.

$p$-groups with maximal elementary abelian subgroups of rank $2$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Let p be an odd prime number and G a finite p-group. We prove that if the rank of G is greater than p, then G has no maximal elementary abelian subgroup of rank 2.

Connected components of the category of elementary abelian $p$-subgroups. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We determine the maximal number of conjugacy classes of maximal elementary abelian subgroups of rank $2$ in a finite $p$-group $G$, for an odd prime $p$. Namely, it is $p$ if $G$ has rank at least $3$ and it is $p+1$ if $G$ has rank $2$.

The Extension Dimension of Abelian Categories [PDF]

open access: yesAlgebras and Representation Theory, 2019
Let $\A$ be an abelian category having enough projective objects and enough injective objects. We prove that if $\A$ admits an additive generating object, then the extension dimension and the weak resolution dimension of $\A$ are identical, and they are at most the representation dimension of $\A$ minus two.

Higher Extensions of Abelian Varieties [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1968
In this paper we prove:THEOREM: Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 0, and let X and Y be abelian varieties over k. Then the group Ext2(X, Y) = 0.

Genera in abelian extensions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1975
The principal genus in an abelian extension is characterized as the kernel of norm residue symbols at the ramified primes.

Artin L-Functions for Abelian Extensions of Imaginary Quadratic Fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Let F be an abelian extension of an imaginary quadratic field K with Galois group G. We form the Galois-equivariant L-function of the motive h(Spec F)(j) where the Tate twists j are negative integers.
