Applications of the Dressing Field Method are reviewed and further expanded to the very foundations of the supersymmetric framework, where it allows to build relational supersymmetric field theory. Furthermore, a novel approach is proposed giving a unified description of fermionic matter fields and bosonic gauge fields: a Matter‐Interaction ...

Functorial constructions related to double Poisson vertex algebras
Abstract For any double Poisson algebra, we produce a double Poisson vertex algebra using the jet algebra construction. We show that this construction is compatible with the representation functor which associates to any double Poisson (vertex) algebra and any positive integer a Poisson (vertex) algebra.

Jensen's inequality for conditional expectations
We study conditional expectations generated by an abelian $ C^* $-subalgebra in the centralizer of a positive functional. We formulate and prove Jensen's inequality for functions of several variables with respect to this type of conditional expectations,

Abelian ideals and the variety of Lagrangian subalgebras
For a semisimple algebraic group $G$ of adjoint type with Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ over the complex numbers, we establish a bijection between the set of closed orbits of the group $G \ltimes \mathfrak g^{\ast}$ acting on the variety of Lagrangian subalgebras of $\mathfrak g \ltimes \mathfrak g^{\ast}$ and the set of abelian ideals of a fixed Borel ...

Symmetries of abelian ideals of Borel subalgebras
Elaborating on a paper by Suter, we provide a detailed description of the automorphism group of the poset of abelian ideals in a Borel subalgebra of a finite dimensional complex simple Lie algebra.

Maximal abelian subalgebras in finite factors of type II [PDF]
1. Introduction. The general study of algebras of operators on Hilbert space has led to the investigation of rings of operators, also called W*algebras or von Neumann algebras. These are self-adjoint, weakly closed algebras of operators which contain the identity. If the center of a ring (center in the algebraic sense) consists only of scalar multiples
