Minimally Invasive Treatment of Kommerell's Diverticulum and Left Aberrant Subclavian Artery

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 2022
Kommerell's diverticulum is an aneurysmatic offspring of the left aberrant subclavian artery, which is a rare vascular anomaly of the aortic arch. Here, we present our less invasive approach to the repair of a symptomatic Kommerell's diverticulum in a 31-year-old patient, without the use of cardiopulmonary bypass.

Right Cervical Aortic Arch with Aberrant Left Subclavian Artery

Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals, 2008
The combination of right cervical aortic arch, aberrant retroesophageal left subclavian artery originating from a Kommerell's diverticulum, and a ligamentum arteriosum, constitutes a rare form of vascular ring. Two patients aged 21 days and 54 years, who were diagnosed by multislice 3-dimensional computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging ...

Right aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery and coarctation

The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, 2014
Case Summary: A 12 year old girl presented to ‘well child clinic’ prior to sports participation with symptoms of occasional leg pain while running. A grade 2–3/4 murmur was present. Right upper extremity hypertension was present with the arm pressure measuring 159/68 mm Hg.

Aberrant left subclavian artery aneurysm with esophago arterial fistula CT demonstration

Clinical Imaging, 1993
Esophago-arterial fistula is a rare but life-threatening complication of an aberrant subclavian artery aneurysm. We report the computed tomography appearance of such a fistula. The characteristic location, presence of rim calcification, and interspersed air and thrombus allowed for prompt preoperative diagnosis and surgery.

Right Aortic Arch with Aberrant Left Subclavian Artery and Aneurysm of Right Subclavian Artery. Report of a Case

Pediatrics International, 1969
Summary A case of 12-year-old boy with the right aortic arch, aberrant left subclavian artery, left ligamentum arteriosus and congenital aneurysm of right subclavian artery which was excised, was reported.

Right Aortic Arch with Aberrant Left Subclavian Artery Symptomatic in Adulthood

Annals of Vascular Surgery, 2006
Congenital malformations of the aortic arch are rarely found in adulthood. We describe three cases of right aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery with left-sided ligamentum arteriosum presenting in adulthood as vascular rings with symptoms of tracheal compression.

Right aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery: Symptomatic in adulthood

The American Journal of Surgery, 1980
A 42 year old black woman presented initially with symptoms of acute aortic dissection. She subsequently had symptoms of esophageal obstruction that were proved aortographically to be due to right aortic arch with an aberrant left subclavian artery. Relief of the esophageal obstruction was achieved only after dividing the aortic arch posteriorly and ...

Aberrant Left Subclavian Artery Associated with a Kommerell's Diverticulum and a Left-Sided Aortic Arch

Journal of Cardiac Surgery, 2012
Kommerell's diverticulum is most commonly associated with either an aberrant left subclavian artery from a right-sided aortic arch or an aberrant right subclavian artery from a left-sided aortic arch. We describe an exceedingly rare case of an aberrant left subclavian artery arising from a Kommerell's diverticulum in a patient with a left-sided aortic ...

Repair of right aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery and left ligamentum arteriosum

Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 1990
A case of right aortic arch with an aberrant left subclavian artery arising from a Kommerell's diverticulum of the descending thoracic aorta with a left ligamentum arteriosum completing a vascular ring about the trachea and esophagus is presented. A posterolateral left thoracotomy alone is sufficient to provide an excellent exposure for the division of
