Aneurysm of an aberrant right subclavian artery

open access: yesThe British Journal of Radiology, 1988
Although an aberrant right subclavian artery is the most common congenital anomaly of the aortic arch, with an incidence of one in 200 (Grainger & Allison, 1986), aneurysmal dilatation of this aberrant vessel is quite uncommon. In this report we describe one case which presented initially with a diagnosis of aneurysm of the thoracic aorta.

Hybrid Treatment of Aberrant Right Subclavian Artery Causing Dysphagia Lusoria by Subclavian to Carotid Transposition and Endovascular Plug

open access: yesVascular Specialist International, 2020
Differences in the common aortic arch branching pattern arise from abnormal embryological development. Aberrant origin of the right subclavian artery is the most common of these anomalies.

Aberrant right subclavian artery in a dog ˗ case report [PDF]

open access: yesArquivo Brasileiro de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia, 2020
The brachiocephalic trunk and the left subclavian artery originate from the aortic arch, and both supply blood to the head, neck, and thoracic limbs. Anatomical variations, such as an aberrant right subclavian artery, are congenital conditions rarely ...

A Rare Vascular Ring Malformation Formed by Right Aortic Arch With Mirror Image Branching Causing Dysphagia: Case Report. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Case Rep
ABSTRACT A right‐sided aortic arch, a congenital anomaly of the aortic arch, was initially described by Fioratti and Aglietti in 1963. This condition, associated with formation of a vascular ring, can constrict mediastinal organs such as the trachea and esophagus.

An Anomalous Right Subclavian Artery with a Retrotracheal Course: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2015
An aberrant right subclavian artery arising as the last vessel of the arch of aorta is an uncommon anatomic anomaly with prevalence reported between 0.2% and 2.0%. In 80% of the cases the aberrant right subclavian artery takes a retro-oesophageal course

Aortic dissection originating from an aberrant right subclavian artery

open access: yes, 2007
A 47-year-old male patient presented with aortic dissection originating from an aberrant right subclavian artery. Intraoperative arteriography showed an anomaly of the aortic arch including a common carotid trunk and an aberrant right subclavian artery ...

Cardiac morphological and morphometric analysis of Ardea alba

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Ardea alba (Linnaeus, 1758) is a widely distributed heron species whose cardiovascular morphology remains poorly described. This study aimed to characterize the cardiac morphology and morphometry of adult A. alba. Ten specimens were analyzed using radiographic, morphometric, histological, scanning electron microscopy, and three‐dimensional ...

Morphological and Clinical Aspects of Aberrant Subclavian Artery: Single Center Multidedector Computed Tomography Based Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Aim: Aberrant subclavian artery (ASA) anomalies are the most common aortic arch malformations. Incidence of these malformations increases with widespread use of computed tomography (CT).

Transradial angioplasty and stent placement for total occlusion of aberrant right subclavian artery: A case report

open access: yesSAGE Open Medical Case Reports
Aberrant right subclavian artery is one of the most common congenital anatomical variations of the aortic arch, but its occlusion is extremely rare.

Hybrid management of a ruptured right subclavian artery aneurysm dissection

open access: yesJournal of Vascular Surgery Cases and Innovative Techniques, 2017
Aberrant right subclavian artery is the most common congenital malformation of the aortic arch (0.4%-2.0%). Aneurysms of aberrant subclavian arteries are extremely rare. This results in little experience with their treatment.
