Higher order aberrations, refractive error development and myopia control: a review

Clinical and experimental optometry, 2020
Evidence from animal and human studies suggests that ocular growth is influenced by visual experience. Reduced retinal image quality and imposed optical defocus result in predictable changes in axial eye growth.

Trends, Rhythms, and Aberrations in Global Climate 65 Ma to Present

Science, 2001
Since 65 million years ago (Ma), Earth's climate has undergone a significant and complex evolution, the finer details of which are now coming to light through investigations of deep-sea sediment cores.

Skew aberration: a form of polarization aberration

Optics Letters, 2011
We define a new class of aberration, skew aberration, which is a component of polarization aberration. Skew aberration is an intrinsic rotation of polarization states due to the geometric transformation of local coordinates, independent of coatings and interface polarization.

Aberration generator

Applied Optics, 1975
A new instrument, the aberration generator, has been developed for introducing precise amounts of aberration into an optical wavefront. Piston error, wavefront tilt, defocus, spherical aberration, coma, and astigmatism can be generated either individually or in combination. The instrument can be used to study the effects of aberrations on image quality

Aberrant reinnervation

Muscle & Nerve, 1990
AbstractAlthough great empasis is placed on providing a satisfactory conduit for regeneration of peripheral axons after nerve repair, the quality of functional restoration is influenced as much by the quality as the quantity of axonal regeneration. Misdirected regeneration is so commonly encountered that motor axons appear to enter and regenerate to ...

Catalog of Chromosome Aberrations in Cancer

British Journal of Cancer, 1996
We present here because it will be so easy for you to access the internet service. As in this new era, much technology is sophistically offered by connecting to the internet.

The aberrant thyroid

Current Surgery, 2001
The patient is a 74-year-old white woman with a 2-month history of dysphagia. Evaluation with barium swallow first identified an extrinsic compression in the upper to middle third of the esophagus. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed the mass extended to the midline posteriorly and was compressing the esophagus.

ABERRANT PUBERTY

Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinics of North America, 1992
With the emergence of an understanding of the processes at the cellular level that control the differentiated functions of tissues and eventually manifest as the developmental sequence in the whole animal, it is possible to describe pubertal aberrations in terms that are at once grounded in fundamental concepts of cellular biology and of practical ...
