Blood Types and ABO Incompatibility
Neonatal Network, 2011Using the Punnett square and having an understanding of the relationship between genes and blood types will assist you in explaining blood type inheritance to parents and answering their many questions. Using this tool, nurses can show parents what is happening during the division of genes and how blood type genes are expressed.

VENOUS THROMBOEMBOLIC DISEASE AND ABO BLOOD TYPE
The Lancet, 1969ABO blood type and duration of oral contraception were recorded in 200 Edinburgh women to see whether a decrease in type O women continuing the pill could account for the deficiency of type O among thromboembolism victims. The expected blood type distribution for Scotland is 52% O 34% A 11% B and 3% AB. 200 pill users were 52.5% O 35% A 10% B and 2.5%

Dielectrophoretic characterization of erythrocytes: Positive ABO blood types
ELECTROPHORESIS, 2008AbstractDielectrophoretic manipulation of erythrocytes/red blood cells is investigated as a tool to identify blood type for medical diagnostic applications. Positive blood types of the ABO typing system (A+, B+, AB+ and O+) were tested and cell responses quantified.

Errors in ABO typing of blood stains using PCR
International Journal of Legal Medicine, 2000Genotypes of the ABO blood group system were investigated using a multiplex PCR and subsequent restriction enzyme digestion on experimental blood stains. Differences were found when typing blood between the PCR and serological methods and one blood sample, typed as B with the agglutination test was classified as AB using the method described here.

Association between ABO blood types and pain perception
Somatosensory & Motor Research, 2017Pain perception is associated with different phenotypic characteristics such as sex, eye, and hair color. Hence, it is assumed that ABO blood type can also affect pain perception. In order to investigate this hypothesis, an experimental study with healthy volunteers (18-40 years) was designed.

SCHIZOPHRENIA IN RELATION TO BLOOD GROUPS ABO AND BLOOD TYPES Rh.D. AND MN
American Journal of Psychiatry, 1957In comparing blood groupings and the Rh.D. factor in Negro schizophrenics with controls and with former findings, interesting differences were noted: 1. Significant differences were found between schizophrenic subjects and control subjects in two of the three studies, one of which used Negro subjects and the other, white subjects. 2. The Rh.D.

Trial of ABO and Rh blood typing with an automated blood cell counter
Clinical & Laboratory Haematology, 1989We designed a method for ABO and Rh typing using a blood cell counter. Blood specimens were diluted with physiological saline, mixed with an antiserum, and incubated. The cell count and size distribution curves were obtained by an automated blood cell counter.

ABO blood typing of human skeletal remains in Hungary
American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 1984AbstractThe author reports about the theoretical effects of his paleoserologic investigations on some historical population genetics problems. First he refers to the essence of the two modifications by the help of which the fluorescent antibody method can be made suitable for blood typing of archeological skeletal remains and determines his working ...
