A Rare Case of A2+ve Blood Group in an Obstetric Emergency [PDF]
We present a rare case of A2+ve blood group with Placenta praevia with Obstetric Haemorrhage in mild hypovolemic shock. An emergency request for blood transfusion confounded the blood bank officer as the patient’s blood was seemingly incompatible with ...

Genetic analyses for the ABO blood group subtypes in Japanese.
A genetic mutation of the ABO blood group gene in the subtype underwent analysis using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) based techniques. The present study involved fifty-seven Japanese and six non-Japanese patients with the ABO blood subtype. Three mutations were detected in Japanese A-subtypes.

Passenger lymphocyte syndrome in a bidirectional ABO-mismatched renal transplant
Passenger lymphocyte syndrome (PLS), a subtype of graft-versus-host disease, is due to the production of antibodies by the donor “passenger” B lymphocytes against recipient's red cells.
