Seasonal Variation in Above-Ground Annual and Perennial Phytomass of an Arid Rangeland in Libya [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Range Management, 1986
An Aristida pungens-Retama r&m rangeland in the rrid Jefhra plain in Libya produced 2,000 and 950 kg (dry matter) ha-’ of net above-ground phytomass with 200 mm and 171 mm of rainfall during the 1977178 and 78179 growing seasons, reavly. Annual plants contributed 460 and 300 kg (dry matter ha ) in the 2 seasons, respectively.

Laws of the above ground phytomass growth of the pale coneflower (Echinacea pallida (Nutt.) Nutt.) in pregenerative period of the ontogenesis

open access: yesScientific Horizons, 2018
The paper presents the simulation of growth processes patterns for the most important morphometric parameters of the Echinacea pallida in pregeneration period of the ontogenesis. The patterns were created on the basis of the data collected from the industrial crops during the industrial Echinacea pallida cultivation.

137Cs content in European blueberry (Vaccinium Myrtillus L.) in forests of Ukrainian Polissia in different periods after the accident at ChNPP [PDF]

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2018
It has been established that intensive penetration of 137Cs both into the above-ground part of phytomass and blueberry is continuing at present. The transition coefficients of 137Cs (m2kg-110-3) in the above-ground part of European blueberry (17 - 53 ...

Ecology of bryophytes along altitudinal and latitudinal gradients in Chile [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The bryophyte vegetation in twenty-eight hectare plots in forests of S-Chile between 38° and 42°S and sea level and the forest line has been studied. Since bryophytes are fully dependend on atmospheric water and nutrient supply, they are good indicators ...
