Nucleic Acid Therapeutics for “Undruggable” Cancer Targets: Mechanisms, Challenges, and Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nucleic acid therapeutics bypass the structural limitations of conventional drugs by targeting mRNA rather than proteins. This review examines how antisense oligonucleotides, siRNAs, miRNAs, aptamers, and mRNA vaccines intervene against historically undruggable oncoproteins including Ras, MYC, and p53, highlighting mechanistic advances, delivery ...

John the Baptist, social identity and imperial space in Luke 3:1–22

open access: yesVerbum et Ecclesia
This article sought to understand the presentation of social identities and spatiality in Luke 3:1–22. Here, John the Baptist preaches a sermon of repentance, warning his readers not to rely on physical descent from Abraham as their only identity marker.

Unusual Thermally Induced Blueshift and Emission Amplification of Mn2+ Ions Enable Filter‐Free Luminescent Thermal Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The shift from point‐based thermal sensing to filter‐free thermal imaging requires luminescent thermometers that exhibit pronounced and thermally driven spectral changes within spectral regions matching the sensitivity profiles of the red, green and blue (RGB) channels of a digital camera.

Did Sarah Know? Unveiling the Isaac's Sacrifice

open access: yesDunamis: Jurnal Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristiani
This study investigates the question of whether Sarah was aware of God’s command to Abraham to sacrifice their son, Isaac. Although Genesis 22 does not explicitly mention Sarah’s awareness, this paper argues that the emotional, spiritual, and practical ...

Nonmonotonic Enhancement of Electro‐Optic Properties of Wurtzite AlN Thin Films by Sc Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
EO coefficient, rc, for Sc‐AlN thin films in comparison with that for Mg ZnO thin films (left). Calculated electric field intensity of the fundamental mode supported by the active area that includes Sc‐AlN (right). ABSTRACT Wurtzite ferroelectrics, such as Sc‐doped AlN, have recently attracted considerable attention for their potential in realizing ...

Stretchable Energy Storage with Eutectic Gallium Indium Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A highly stretchable liquid metal‐based electrode is developed via a one‐step process, retaining conductivity and capacitance after mechanical deformation up to 900% strain. The stretchable all‐solid‐state device provides a areal energy density of 43 µWh cm⁻2 after 150% strain.

Amorphous π‐Conjugated Passivator Facilitates Widening Process Window for Reliable Perovskite Solar Modules

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A wide process window is essential for the commercialization of perovskite photovoltaics. Here, we demonstrate an amorphous π‐conjugated passivator having an asymmetric mono‐iodine substituent on a carbazole moiety imparts a high dipole moment, desirable molecular energy levels, and high thickness tolerance, thereby enabling a wide process window in ...

The Cost of a Nutritious Diet in Cafeterias: Evidence From US Military Dining Facilities

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Providing nutritious meals in institutional settings with financial constraints, such as military dining facilities, is challenging. The US Department of War (DoW) and US Department of Agriculture (USDA) collaborated to modernize the Basic Daily Food Allowance (BDFA) using an optimization model that incorporates service members' consumption ...
