Emerging locally delivered antimicrobial and immunomodulatory approaches for the prevention/treatment of peri‐implant diseases

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract Peri‐implant diseases are dysbiosis‐mediated inflammatory disorders that occur in susceptible hosts. Antimicrobials and immunomodulatory agents therefore might be pertinent as adjunctive measures in the treatment of such disorders. The aim of this narrative review was to examine the existing evidence and assess the effectiveness of emerging ...

Long‐term surgical treatment outcomes of peri‐implantitis

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract Background To assess the long‐term results of the surgical treatment of peri‐implantitis by means of clinical, radiographic outcomes, and whenever possible, a composite definition of disease resolution. Furthermore, this review aimed at evaluating the prognostic indicators of long‐term disease recurrence.

Porous Nanocellulose‐Reinforced Polyacrylamide Hybrid Hydrogels for Tissue Engineering

open access: yesIsrael Journal of Chemistry, Volume 66, Issue 2, March 2026.
Porous polyacrylamide‐nanocellulose hydrogels fabricated via NaHCO3 driven gas foaming, enabling tunable pore architectures. Increasing porosity enhances swelling behavior and supports human chondrocyte adhesion, infiltration, and distribution, while the scaffolds retain high mechanical resilience and compressibility.
